  1. Flywheel nut should be torqued to 58ft lbs.
  2. Yeah a month at least would be a good idea. I got to drive about 1100 miles so I need to know what days to take off work. The sooner the better for me. First weekend in Oct. dont sound bad for me either.
  3. I'll second this. Those are the Ram Valves from FMF.
  4. a big box and lots of polyfill, then drop it off to UPS or FedEx
  5. I know different builders motors favor different pipes. I would run what the builders suggests because that probably what he used to test and tune the motor with. My builder suggested shearer because thats what he used while doing R&D on the dyno. Just my .02
  6. Since your motor is unported and the only real motor mod you got done is the crank with a plate. I'd have to say he's gonna spank you pretty good.
  7. Congratulations! My son is due in june. I told my wife she better not have him during one of our silver lake trips.
  8. I'll be there. I'll be staying at the state park campground. Hopefully my banshee will be done. Things just dont seem to be going my way lately. If its not done.. I guess I'll just have to tool around on my lil'450.
  9. My PT mids Db'ed at 96 with Fatboy2's and clamp on sparky's.. The turn downs dont have spark arrestors. You have to use 3 1/2" universal clamp on's on the standard Fatboy2 silencer. I still have a set of sparky's and I was getting ready to put them on ebay. They're a lil beat up.. I'll send pics you you are interested.
  10. I've heard of a few builders using PT mids on cubs. Might want give Nate McCoy a call, I know he deals with SLP and he might be able to give you some more ideas.
  11. $55.00 shipped. Filters are 6" and are brand new still in the wrapper and the outerwears have maybe 2 hours on them. But one outerwear must have touched my pipe and it has a very small burn hole its about 1/4". The hole is on the right filter wrap and is above the "&" at the very top on the seam. Its hardly noticeable. They fit the bigger carbs 38mm-40mm
  12. I do everything myself. The only thing I have done by the builder is porting/milling and cut the domes.
  13. I'm not 100% sure but I think the difference is the size of the stinger section. Big bores use bigger stinger tubes. Most will say use small bore pipes up to 450cc or somthing like that. With your mods I would suggest small bore.
  14. I bought a Dura-Blue for my 450. I would have bought the G-Force but it wasn't out at that time. If I buy another axle I'll save $175 and buy a G-force.
  15. I'd run +2 if it were me... I wouldn't use anything longer then a +4 here is a pic of my +2 duner banshee
  16. I'll have to try the 1211 next time. I used the 1104. It was a mess...
  17. Yamabond is actually made by threebond for Yamaha. I heard the same thing that they stoped making the Yamabond. Its the same stuff and it will work just fine. I used it on my motor.
  18. And people wonder why more builders dont Join and Sponsor ?
  19. I dont know if I'd go as far as running wal-mart brand oils. You can buy a cheaper oil and still get a quality oil. Honda 2 stroke oil is only around 3 bucks a QT. Bel-Ray also makes cheaper 2 storke oils. I would stay with at least a good brand oil myself. Personally, I got alot of money into my banshee and I wouldn't want to take a chance on running cheap oil to save a few bucks. Better safe then sorry. Just my .02
  20. If your Pro-Design intakes that arn't set up for the V-Force reeds and you dont want to get a new set, you can make them work. I would suggest selling them and getting a set of boss intakes or white knuckle intakes as everyone else has already said. But.. to make them work you'll have to pop out the diverter plate and then use a hack saw to cut off the 2 tabs on each side of the intake. Then I used a dremmel and trimmed it up to make it flat. Soo.. I would suggest just to get a new intakes system if yours isn't made for the V-Force.
  21. I got them last year for my VF3's to match my boss intakes. If your intakes have the round style opening I wouldn't use the cascade stuffers and keep with the factory stuffers. If you have the square style intakes then it would surely beat trying to port them yourself to match the stuffer to the intake.
  22. No problem Dan. I try to help out if I can. Oh.. and It was only 1 stud that I forgot to put a O-ring on. I kinda made it sound worse then it really was. It was just a very slow leak. You could watch the coolant come up through the threads one drop at a time. I was hoping to beable to head out there with you guys but my parts arn't coming in as fast as I would like, so my banshee won't be done this weekend. I should be ready to roll by next weekend.
  23. I just cross referenced the numbers with some bolts from V-star road bikes and found some Stainless bolts that will look pretty good.
