  1. I bought a remanufactured one too. It carries a warranty and comes in a factory sealed package. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed one.
  2. I'd use whatever piston your builder/mechanic recommends.. Most people say wiseco is a reliable piston. What ever piston you choose make sure your piston gap clearance is to spec for that piston. Their has been some issues that has come up lately with the WSM pistons.. Not sure if it was user error or bad pistons yet.
  3. try a ASV clutch lever. I use one with 6 Toomey springs and my clutch pull isn't bad. If thats still to stiff for ya might wanna try backing down to 3 HD springs and 3 stock springs.
  4. Its gonna be me and my bud and his ol'lady. but they dont ride.. So My truck and a tent and 3 peeps. I checked jellystone and they want 37 a nite. I'm tryin to get with my other buddie who's going up to see if we can double up on his site. But he's being a prick to get ahold of.
  5. WTF Dan? you can sit ur ass home for labor day so you can make the LS trip.. But on a side note.. I'll be in Silver Lake for labor day.. Just need a camp site still..
  6. In my opinion the best spring for the price is the Toomey springs. I use 6 Toomey's with my FZR fibers.
  7. If your gonna order from Jim I would suggest the 22x11x8 9 or 10 paddle.
  8. Not all honda's come stock with keihin carbs.. Any dealer weather its Hon, Kaw, Suz, or Yam will carry Keihin Jets.
  9. We took our dogs to the vet too. They are actually really good with them. I thought they just lock'em up and give'em food and water, but they take them out every day and let them have some fun. Dave if you decide to go let me know. If you wanted I could pick you up on my way through. LOTS of room left.. As of right now its just me and "mini-me"(Dan).
  10. I was thinking the same thing.. 35's with no port work is way over carbed. I'd suggest staying with stock carbs until you get some motor work.
  11. Dave.. I feal sorry for the people that get the old "poop in the bag then light it on fire" trick from you!
  12. Just get a bigger mulching kit for the mower!! Fertilize your lawn while cleaning up the poo!
  13. I am on the water Dave! Just a lil farther north towards the middle of nowhere. I'm down for your dune trip.. But the LS ride is first Weekend in OCT.
  14. Well that really sux... I was lookin forward to it.. I
  15. I'm right at 200 Don, I'm familiar with the whole holeshot-inertia theory. I'm not having the slightest trouble gettin off the line in 2nd with 15/40 gearing so I thought I'd gear to 14/40 or 15/42 and run the lightend flywheel and see if I can get through the gears quicker. I atleast gotta try it.. Wont know how it works until I do right? Nate was the one who told me that full advance on the plate would make heat buildup a issue. he said 7-8 advance for dune racing and full advance for track but keep it cold.. So thats why I left it at 7-8 because I was out in the dunes most of the summer with it.. So.. now that I'm pretty much done with the dunes for the year.. Its time to see what shee can do!
  16. Well I'm just going by what Nate told me.. When I race in the dunes I make ALOT of passes.. probably around 7-10 passes at a time. I wasn't trying for best times at that time more just getting used to the bike. So I didn't want to take a chance on it detonating. I'm going to max the plate and keep an eye on it next time out. Since I got the cover off I'm going to try my lightend flywheel and see if that helps things a bit too. I'm going to make quite a few changes this time out.
  17. Mine is at 7 right now because I make too many back to back passes with out cooling down. I'm gonna burry the plate at full advance wich should be around 11 or so.. I'll just have to keep a eye on my temp.
  18. So far my lil 4mil has been running pretty impressive. I wasn't expecting it to run as good as it is. I'm trying like hell to get it down into the 4.1's Closest I've had it so far was a 4.21 @ albright and a 4.22 @Bobs. The more I run it the better I'm gettin with my 60's I'm gonna try some gearing changes and bump my timing up and see what happens. I just want to break into the 4.1's before season is done.
  19. Dan you failed to mention that part of the race to me!! :yelrotflmao: LOL!!! That woulda been great to get on camera... :yelrotflmao: I can see him now pushing his bike back from the 60ft lights LOL
  20. Yeah.. i wasn't even gonna bother running them 8's. I know they wont hook. They'll just be on there to roll it around.
