If it has a salvage title I am almost positive it has been in a wreck!.. Also 929's are a dima dozen.. I would offer him $3500 for it TOPS..salvage title bikes are a bad idea IMHO... It sounds like you have never owned a bike befor..I would HIGHLY recomend not getting a liter bike as a first bike..I would try and score a 600, maybe an older fzr600?..I am positive, it has enough power for a beginner..

I have seen many riders who buy too much bike hurt themselves!.. Good luck with whatever way you go..sport bike riding is probably the most fun I have ever had..Due to the death of a family member(on a bike), and the birth of my new son, I have decided to stop riding street..Thats why I picked up a banshee, to cure my need for speed!!! If you ever have any questions about sportbikes, give me a PM.. They have been my life for atleast the past 5 years..I have decent knowlege of the sport..
