usually you get what you pay for . if its a cheap price then its probably a cheap chain . i wouldnt skimp out on a chain , could break and crack your engine cases . not worth trying to save a couple bucks in that department .
-
buy a good one like the T.M. i bought a cheap billit one off ebay and my chain poped and still cracked the top of my case , would alot worse if i had none at all but still got a small break .

i have that milwalky impact gun and its great , i was amazed how strong it is . i also have a air compressior and air impact gun and i use the electric gun alot more just becuase its faster and i dont have to start up the compressior to take off one bolt , but i use the air for the bigger jobs . just to let you guys know that ingersole rand has 2 lines of air tools , one is made in china and the other in japan (i think ) . one is great and the other isnt .

the only thing yamaha ever made good is the banshee , the rest of their bikes suck ass . just kidding i actually just bought a yfz 450 , but i still love honda . -

all im saying is that suzuki's werent that good in the 80's , i had a zilla and and rm 250 and they both had reliablity isues ,bolts breaking , frame cracks , the honda's i had never had any problems , i think they were just built better . i have owned alot of bikes in the 20 years i have been riding and honda's are some of the best built bikes around . yamaha's are very good too , suzuki's and kawi's are probably good now but back then i think they skimped out on alot of stuff . -

im not saying it is origial , but you would be better using your money to build one then to keep sinking money into unreliable zilla . and the cr 500 motor will last forever and have way more power . as for the tecate ripping a 250r in a race , i dont believe that , but i never rode one . but i do know that if they were so good people would have raced them , i remember back in the day at my track everybody raced 250r's . -

you my friend are smoking crack . zilla's are the biggest pieces of shit out there , slow as shit for a 500 , unreliable , handle like crap and are big and ugly . and the tecate , im not even going to get into that one . as for a piped zilla eating a shee . your just crazy . actually i have yet to see a zilla run for a complete race without falling apart (head gasket , frame cracking, stator problems) . i made the mistake of buying one once , never do that again ! if you want a 500 quad buy a 250r and shoehorn a cr 500 motor in it , then you will be on to something . thats what im doing right now . -
what do you think i should do
woodro77 replied to bansheejoel's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
lube up , sounds like you got a good oldfashion screwing coming your way . sorry bud it doesnt look good if he wont contact you back and then he answers other emails . i would put a stop on the check , better safe then sorry . -
im not trying to start a fight either . but you are comparing a used banshee to a new 450 in price , if you buy a brand new banshee put pipes , k+n filter and jet kit and race it against a new yzf 450 with a pipe , K+N filter and jet kit , with 2 equal skilled riders the banshee will lose every time . if you dont think so you are kidding your self . if you start talking cubs , crank , big bore pipes , then yes the banshee will win . but look at the price of those mods. i have both a banshee and a yzf 450 . my banshee has a good amout of port work , v force reeds , 30 mm carbs , cool head , k+n , toomey t-5's , runs on race fuel , my yfz 450 has lrd pipe, jet kit and K+N filter . they are very close in a race , the 450 is faster off the line but the banshee takes it in top end ,
-
they deserve all the credit they get , it takes alot of money and motor work to get the same power out of a banshee that a 4 stroke has with just a pipe , jet kit and air filter . im not knocking the shee , there is nothing like riding one , but unless you open up the motor (porting , carbs , stroking) 4 strokes just have a advantage with similar mods .

what are you talking aboot ? :yelrotflmao: i had to do it . lol -
i still have the spindles off my 1990 j arm and just put them next one of a 2002 and they are the exact same . but your probably right and the repair manual is wrong .
-
yes it was !
-
thats not true , the carrier is only different on the 87 , and the spindles and brakes are different on the 87 -88 , i had a 90 j-arm shee and the bearing carrier and the spindles were the same as the a arm . if you look in the repair manual it tells you the years parts are different .
-
ya im back , parked the shee and was racing my new crf 450 this past season . was cheating on the HQ with a dirtbike forum .
-
the message said there will be new rules to ebay feedback , all sellers will only be able to leave positve feedback , they cannot leave negitive feedback unless the buyer doesnt pay for the item . and the buyer can leave positive , negitive , neutral feedback . . ebay should start protecting the seller , the seller is how ebay makes its money . its bullshit .
-
why would you buy new pistons then check and if its not good then bore the cylinders and buy a new set of pistons , doesnt make sense to me .
-
i bought a aftermarket thumb throttle off ebay , and its the best thing i ever bought , 100 times better then the stock POS . looks trick too (chrome and red)
-
a grease fitting will help a little , mostly it will stop the axle from seizing in the carrier , the bearing are sealed . how often they need replacing depends on what type of terrain you ride on , if you ride in the mud and water the will wear out faster . i have 2 seasons on my bearings and i ride my shee in sand , water , snow , all year long . check to make sure your axle nut is tight and not causing the play . and dont buy the cheap bearing off ebay .
-
get the cylinders bored and honed , if you are doing the motor you might as well do it right . its not much more money . 120-150 bucks . some times you can get away with just a hone if your cylinder wall are clean . at least get them checked out to see if they need a bore . if its worth doing then its worth doing right !

i had the same carbs , the fuel lines are a different size , go to the hardware store and make up your own . carb will fit on stock boots but its a tight fit . takes some stretching . performance gain is well worth it . dont take it to yamaha , take your time and you will get them on .
