  9. i dont know how it works anywhere else but in new york you can not punch numbers onto a frame , in ny , there is no place to ride legally , so if you get caught your bike gets impounded and they go over the hole bike and if it doesnt have vin numbers you don get it back. if you do punch the numbers it would have to be perfect , like it came from yamaha , if it doesnt and they see it they call it vin tampering , you get in trouble . dmv can do a vin change for you, you have to bring your old frame and new frame with receipt and the put a new vin on the new frame , they charge you alot and its just a sticker on the frame. like i said i dont know how it works anywhere else but in new york its a pain in the ass i went through it and i ended up just buying a used frame with papers
  10. i have a ac front bumper and rear grab bar , and they both mounted up perfect. i would send those back , call ac and tell them they will probably help you.
  11. my banshee had a white frame , swingarm when i got it , i changed it it didnt look very good , everything showed on it (dirt , grease ) looked like shit when it was dirty. i didnt think it looked good when it was clean , just my 2 cents
  12. i bought the 30 mm off ebay , the best mod i put on , shipped to me set up for my bike , perfect, way more power , cant say enough good things about these carbs , 185 bucks , cant beat them look in banshee mods section there is a topic open about them
  13. paper towels , try to dry it the best you can , you should get most of it , other than that dont worry about it .
  14. someone on the hq built that shee , i saw pics of it on here when he built it , looks brand new ,
  15. the ebay ones are 28mm bored out to a 30mm . and come with a bunch of jets , and come set up for your shee and come with brand new motion pro throttle cable,, for 185 bucks , i think its a good deal add the extra jets and cable and bored to 30mm to the $120 and the ebay 30mm are cheaper
  16. under banshee parts on ebay , search banshee carbs , and you will see 30 mm d slide carbs , name of the seller is carbpartswarehouse , after you get them you call them up and tell them your mods and they will set them up for you, the guys name is jeff and he will answer all of your questions
  17. it doesnt decrease because it is mixed with 2 cycle oil , octane decreases because its stored in a plastic tank, if you store it in a metal tank it will keep its octane for a long time.
  18. it depends on your elevation , where do you live ? the closer you live to sealevel the more your compression goes up
  19. if you buy a new frame from yamaha it wont have any numbers on it , and if it ever gets impounded from the cops you will never get it back ,
  20. took it for a ride today , still wet out side so just took it down the rode , has way more power , i was amazed how much bottom end it has with these new carbs , cant wait to take it for a full ride , im going to take it out sometime this week , maybe to the local sand pit , so far the feel alot more powerful than the stockers
  21. i have to get new fuel lines these carbs have smaller fuel inlet on them. thats what they said , cant wait to try them tomorrow anyone else have them?
  22. well some of you guys know the problems i was having with my shee , as you may have read some of my other posts. never could get it to run good well i bought some 30 mm oko carbs off ebay (copy of the keihin 28 mm pwk ) they are 28mm bored out to 30 mm , they use keihin parts and jets put them on today and she started up first kick , seems to run alot better ,sound great , no bog , jetting looks to be right on the money, even comes with extra jets raining today in new york , going to try it out as soon as it drys out alittle bought them from carb parts warehouse , the guys name was jeff and was really good to deal with , took time to talk with me and sent carbs set up for my mods , i paid 187 bucks , well worth it , i think 28 mm pwk 's are like 300 i will let you guys know how they perform , they said 10 - 15% gain from these carbs , we'll see
