  1. the springs job is just to carry the weight, its not supposed to prevent bottoming, it just allows the bike to ride in its proper position, another words the deeper in the stroke the stiffer the shock linkage gets, so by putting a stiffer spring on it will ride higher in the stroke but wont give you any better bottoming protection to speak of, the shock needs to be revalved for the riders weight to keep it from bottoming
  2. its on the cover of sandsports magazine, may/june issue.
  3. Banshee power is easy to wheelie compaired to my busa. Go to planet sand, under utah sandmountain, posted by red1977, 95mph wheelie up sandmountain pretty much the length of the hill.
  4. Thanks you guys appreciate your support, Its gettin better all the time to bad I dont have the time to dedicate to it anymore, just kinda gets washed and run these days. Wont even have time to update it before fallon hope she runs ok.
  5. retail is 699.00 a pair, we sell a Long travel A arm kit with the Floats in a package.
  6. My busa quad has Floats on it, hammers the whoops and can even hold up to small jumps on that 513lbs monster of a bike, also have duel float rear shock system on the busa, works very well. Have a set of floats on my CRF450 work great but will fade in mx after about 10 min, but they only get a little fast on rebound when they fade, the heat makes the air pressure go up so they dont get soft, they just get fast, have a set of evol X on the front of my Rhino, and duel floats on the rear of the Rhino, so far no elkas, axis, pep, bilstien, ohlins, have I ever gotten to work as well. Check out the video of my Rhino on planetsand, under utah sandmountain, click on red1977 third videol long travel Rhino, sucks up those whoops like butter. Personally there is no shock that works better or saves as much weight, nothing like dropping 13lbs on the front of a YFZ with just shocks.
  7. I am not gonna say we have the quickest bike, but we do have all the hill records now in the states so guess that makes us the fastest right now, who knows whats coming out tomorrow though. Just because they have not run the hill yet doesnt mean they cant beat us. but here is our records as of 4-20-06 Glamis olds hill, 106.1 Dumont comp2 112.6 Fallon utah 122. Sandmountain Utah 104 Fallon is the fastest because its the smoothest long hill and we used nitrous there all the other hills is without nitrous. We have also changed to a two speed gear box and no longer have quite the top end we used to. Bike is a turbo nitrous hayabusa powered banshee. Here is a video clip of me racing a 900cc snowmobile powered banshee on nitrous, I gave him the smooth lane and had to let off at the bottom for the bumps and rocks, but when I hit the bottom of the hill after giving him a 5 bike head start you can see how hard it pulls.
  8. we will be there easter weekend with our 4 stroke, try to make it if you wanna see a 4 stroke run over 100mph up your hill.
  9. Onz, thanks, its been a long painfull road to get it where it is today, it should have run alot better at BW3 but the header was broken in half turbo didnt spool very well was way down on power the last three passes, in the mid to low 300's That and I brought the wrong tires, it didnt hook up very well.
  10. sence it lives in my garage that would be me. But its not for sale, not yet anyways. I have two guys that have given me some pretty big offers but untill I have riden it to its full potential, I am not done with it. Prob have what I want out of it by end of 06, then it will be for sale.
  11. Its not a banshee based bike, its a Fireball racing chassis with a turbo nitrous busa motor, Alky motor on nitrous, 45psi boost sprayin a 100 shot. The motor we run on the hills is a gas motor running 30psi boost sprayin a 35shot but IC affect nets it almost a 100hp. gas motor is 531hp maxed at 36psi alky motor is 614hp
  12. Sorry one of the guys here at the shop spouted off without all the facts. Avinal is a sanctioned track, but the times where not durring an event. Second, the problem with the NHRA pass isnt a shute issue but a lic issue. The track officail came over with the staging lane worker and one of the guys didnt know what type of vehicle it was and said anything over 150mph has to have a shute, then another guy said its in a bike catagory so a chute isnt the problem but a current nhra pro lic is.
  13. Fireball racings turbo nitrous hayabusa is the fastest quad on the planet right now. 100yrds, 2.87 at 116mph at avinal race way. Speed record on sand mountain nevada of 122mph speed record on olds hill Glamis of 106.1mph Speed record on comp 2 dumont 103.9mph 1/4 mile speed record of 6.91 at 187mph. The 1/4 mile record doesnt stand in NHHRA's rules yet because a second pass was not allowed due to lic and shute issues. Another words banned from a second pass to back it up. but the first pass was without nitrous, so it would be easy to back the 1/4 mile time.
  14. If you remove the spring and the bike sits on the ground I would say the shock is to short for the application and bad choice to run, That would make a scetchy situation and a dangerous one.I would never say that a shock would work if the bike wouldnt sit on the bottoming cones and frame not lay on the ground, or pan as we call it. Shane, thank you for the Humble reply with more fact less personal opinion. Good job! PS, I think Leager is great, But not hands down the best, or I would have his front arms on my turbo busa.
