  1. Most shops, if they are good guys and you buy alot from them will order it in. One shop ive delt with which I dont really care for requires a deposit for them to order because they dont want to get stuck with it. I guess some guy ordered a few gals. of benol and never picked it up and they had a hard time selling it. Another shop that I go to now (IMX) ordered it for me no questions asked, and I bought it from them. 42 and some change for a gal of super tech. I like the klotz it seems to mix well and burn pretty good....it also smells good and is red dyed. Im sure you could probably get it online cheaper but if youd rather get it from a shop just ask and if they arent dicks they will order it for you.
  2. Ya well if I had the money I would get a buggy...HPI 5b....can you say BIG. The damn thing tears up motocross tracks. I think I could use 1000 bucks more for other things then a R/C car so im going to stick to cheaper ones. Im really leaning towards the savage SS It just seems better in all areas for my needs. I mean the Revo is sweet and pretty technologically (sp?) advanced but with that comes a higher price tag. I would rather build the kit too instead of a RTR, and I have a 2 ch AM radio to get started with already, I would just have to get a better set of servos. Thanks for the info guys and keep it coming.
  3. K so Im thinking about getting back into R/C and Im not much into racing them, although I like speed (old r/c was a nitro GT10) but Im thinking about going monster truck. My "nephew" just got a Traxxas Revo for his birthday and its pretty sweet, the suspension is set up like an indy car with the inboard horizontal shocks. It does however have a ton of sag, and sits pretty low. Im leaning more towards an HPI savage SS with the big motor. I mean its a bigger truck, more power, I like the height of the suspension better, it seems to be built tougher. I dunno what are you guys opinions I know some of you are R/C guys (and gals). :ermm:
  4. paddle masters??? Suppose to be paddles for mud and snow. I guess alot of guys use them in coal and stuff too.
  5. Ya as long as you can hone the cylinders to clean them up and still have an acceptable piston to wall gap and good ring end gap then you can get away with just re-ringing.
  6. hmm girly eclipse...manly pink wheels....
  7. Too bad honda made a crappy 4 stroke. Id much rather see them just bring the old 250R back with a little new technology. If it wasnt for all the damn 2 stroke banning 250Rs would still be kicking ass in the pro ranks. Ohwell theres still the yammy 450, not my first choice in quads, but a 4 stroke to be reckoned with.
  8. I was into it awhile back, bought RC10GT with a prototype CV motor and stinger pipe. It was fun driving the truck before I bought it but when I finished paying my friend for it, the damn thing was funked up and it was either he fixed it or I got my money back...long story short I got my money back. Id love to get back into it though, but between my shee and all my car/truck projects I just cant find the time or money yet. Someday... Anywho did any of you guys see the new HPI buggy its like 1.5 scale or something F*cking huge bastard with a weed eater motor. They got some cool vids of it on the site.
  9. "your such a cunt!"....although my g/f is used to it now.
  10. now would I be looking for an automotive upholstrey shop or like sewing moms couch cushions back together upholstrey shop?
  11. I got the stanley aluminum stapler sharpshooter I beleive and some 1/4" staples (smallest they had) and the thing is so weak and the staples have flat tips, Im thinking air stapler with some pointed staples. I already have an air stapler but no air so I would have to do it at work. I dunno it just seems to be a P.I.A trying to line it up perfect and get all the wrinkles out. And it was the rubber material I was trying to staple to and it just about stoped the staples dead when they hit the plastic pan.
  12. ok so was it really needed for you to read the title and see alcoholics spot then post in it saying you dont drink. If your trying to make a point I dont really care
  13. Can I have a trail worthy banshee thats capable of 90+ mph? ok so lets be logical here, so I have a stock for stock motor with a uni filter and t-5s, so my bike is quick but still tops out around the 70, so can I mod my bike to be able to gear it for 90+ top speeds but still have the grunt for trails. The way I see it, its all about gearing and mods only get you to your top speed faster so with stock gearing and a ton of mods your still gonna go somewhere near stock top speed, so all In all I am wondering what I can do to my motor and shit to be able to be where I am at now on the trails ( powercurve of stock motor with T-5 pipes) yet be able to do it with a taller gear for more top speed?
  14. SAND SAND SAND, rough grit to light grit, take out all the deep scratches, then make the whole thing in a fine rough stage, enough to hold paint but not too scratchy that it shows through, and clean clean clean especially if you used "armorall" type polishes on your plastic. Prep is the most important part to painting anything (cars, bikes, quads ect.) If you do it right the paint will hold and not flake off. and you need a flexible paint.
