  1. Thanks guys. Your right, just do it now so I know it's good. I was just anxious to ride and they felt pretty smooth so I thought I may be good. Who's everybody using these days? When I had my old bike I sent stuff to FAST, are they still awesome?
  2. Well after too many years of not owning a quad I have finally came across one. Spent $100 for it. It is missing the top end (jugs, head, pistons). I have an old set of jugs laying around from my previous bike. The problem is I blew a piston in the one side. Back when it happened I figured I would just upgrade so all I did was some self honing to the jugs and put them on the shelf. 3-4 years down the road I am wondering if I can get away without boring them out. They both measure under 64mm, roughly 63.87. Just wondering by looking at the pics if anything jumps out or screams "get them bored." Thanks
  3. Thanks guys. Good to know I am not a complete idiot, and I know when I am running rich. The carbs are new I just got done a rebuild so I am kinda pissing in the dark with this jetting. It pretty much started as soon as I put them on, and I have been working my way down from a 52 pilot and a 162 main. My elevation is sea level. And I am trying to jet for the winter temps, so I gues like 45-55 (or colder) degrees if that makes sense. What would be normal incriments of lowering jet sizes? go down by 5's or 10's? What do you think I should try next (as far as jetting) to get me closer to the bullseye? Thanks for the help!
  4. Stock Stroke Drag Port Stock head PWK 33's 42 pilot 155 Main DGL (i think) needles on 2nd clip from top. Air screw 1 turn out. Starts fine but one side pops a little. When i start in first it wants to stall if i don't get it up near 3/4 throttle. Top end seems to be ok for five min but then stalls out. When plugs are pulled out they are soaking wet. (that is a good sign of it being too rich, right?) Every post I read seems to have 33's in this range but I think since I have the stock stroke this may be too rich? Not sure any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ported heads Fresh top end bored and honed by FAST Razr2 Tires PWK's 33's Billet Intakes K&N filter Alba graphics, Custom grille Twist throttle Bike runs good just needs to be finely tuned still (no time) Hasn't even been riden since rebuild. 6. Selling my ex's quad. '97 honda 300ex, everything stock(cept tires and rims), runs good, plastics are beat up, tires loose air after a couple weeks, but its a great running bike. Needs 2 Go! $1400 w/TITLE obo Location is Woodstown, NJ email for pics. or questions vjguglielmo@yahoo.com
  7. Just realized I have two different needles, one DGK and one DEK...How do read the needles? Any suggestions to which one I should get? Thanks
  8. Uhmmm....Needle is DGK. Is that good or bad, I am lost when it comes to the needles.
  9. I just had a chance to fool around with this again. I wasn't able to get 48 pilots so i got 45's. It's a little better but still not what it should be. It is still sluggish till about 1/2-3/4 throttle, and I mean very sluggish. I moved the needle to the second clip from the top. My air screw is 2 turns out. Should I go down another pilot size? Thanks
  10. Can you find any places that will put in a MOD chip for the Xbox 360, that will play burned/pirated games? Thanks
  11. Gave it another go, and the lowe-end is sluggish but once the power hits the pipes its a rocket. These are the plugs I just did...running rich, right? How many sizes should I go down? Maybe try a 150 or 145? Thanks again...couldn't do this without you guys help
  12. Ok, I got back WOT, and man that baby hit the powerband hard. The lowend seems very sluggish and then BAM the front wheels are coming off the ground. I tried doing a plug chop but I must have screwed up somehow. I put the new plugs in and then let it warm for about 2min adn took off riding I was in 4thgear at WOT and filled it. The plug is light brown all the way to the top. I am guessing I didn't do the test correctly? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  13. No problem...I just needed a decent starting point. i am still running an air box, no lid, so we'll see how these 155's work out. Thanks
  14. I use to have one...nice bike but it was just too big for the trails around us. That sucker would get caught on everything...and turning that thing around or even lifting it :: Good luck with yours hopefully you will have better luck in the trails than me
