I used to ride out there about 10years ago and yeah you better be packing or have a group of people with you. Last time I went the big dune was posted with no trespassing signs and the cops were busting some people. I had a buddy last year ride there and said there were no problems??? I think theres a 4x4 club that owns some land out there but not 100% sure. Keep us posted if you go.

Just got back--rode sunday afternoon and today--sand was pretty smooth today--the main beach has alot of puddles--main drag strip is a small lake--did some draggin today in the small strip between the 2 dunes by the lake-(were everyone would drag 3 years ago) Was just as many people riding today as there were yesterday afternoon--should be a heavy crowd all week. To everyone going have a safe 4th.

Hope you get a big crew to go-for the others how the drag strip been???? bumpy,smooth?? I heard both.

I should be there the last weekend of June only ride sunday and monday due to work schedule. Maybe see some of you there--by the way I hate crowded weekends (the summer there). I maybe at baldwin all weekend if my buddy does not have his craptor ready by then

My bike came with gnarleys and a single carb --perfect for the trails and have no problem on long straights or dunes either.

I have a single carb and have no complaints-- i ride dunes, trails, mud, etc..

Bellicose recommended the armagosa dunes and it was a great day--only 2 other people out there the 4 hours we were there. I had rented a stock 400ex with paddles--enough to get you up some hills. The wife loved it because we were getting sick of all the tourist shit(needed to get out of town). check on prices-the 450s were a extra $100 back in november. The trip is well worth the added cosr of vegas. We will be out in vegas the 12th to 18th last trip out there for awhile--little one on the way!! Congrats

I will be riding the 20th and 21st. Not sure if will be riding the dunes or trails.

I made my own spark arrestor and got away with it for 3 yrs until some a-hole said they were not legal spark arrestor blah blah blah--the stick stopped a few inches in but i think he had a stick up his ass. I now have stamped spark arrestors and never have a problem. I'll be up there april 20,21--not as crowded on sundays or mondays. Hope weather is nice next weekend for you.

Congrats on your invite--i went to the monster truck show 2 weeks ago in chitown. Pretty small arena--would of been nice to hear a two stroke in the mix. the stunt guys on quads were from texas. The one guy did 4 or 5 backflips on a quad. Something to see in person. Thats awesome you get to be part of the mix all weekend. yeah some vid would be sweet.

I did two runs on at drag strip 3 years ago--82.9mph and 84.2mph--both were 14... second runs-1st time ever on a track. Single carb and all the bolt ons 15/41 gearing and 20 inch nobbies. Though I was gonna blow the shee up the second time. I;m with everyone else-its how fast you can get there that means anything

I just seen a atv back flip in person at the monster truck show in chicago--all i can say is------yeah i'm speechless. You've got to be nuts to do it but some people have a natural riding/jumping ability on bikes and maybe you've got it. When they said the guy was gonna do a backflip on a atv im like yeah right and then he does it--unbelievable. They said the guy was from Texas i think.

I think fox valley offroad does hare scrambles. Not 100% sure. Was going to the badlands this weekend but my plans changed.

I replaced the plug boots 3 years ago due to left side not firing all the time(stock boot). So I put in the kind that is for plugs with the treads on top of plug(not socket type)Ran great until I could not get the shee to start-lack of riding and needing a rebuild and its 10 degrees outside-put new plugs in and damn pin in the boot that holds the plug boot on the spark plug broke off. I got a new boot and pull started the shee and is running fine for the time being. Just curious which kind of NGK plug boot you run and if its just my luck that i would have both kinds fail. Rebuilding the shee soon and will be replacing the boots-curious what everyone recommends. Thanks
