  1. 200PSI is the most any shock should have. Front shocks are normally set at 150 or 175. Shane
  2. I received your message but wasn't able to respond to it for some reason. I don't have a donor shock if i understand whayt your asking. The rebuild cost depends on the type of riding you do. Rebuilds start at $400. Your guy locally probably won't be successful in rebuilding a Banshee shock. They aren't the same as others and there is a special technic used to take them apart. The front shocks on a Banshee aren't rebuildable. Shane
  3. Be very careful because you can be easily injured by the spring if you don't know what your doing and don't have the right tools. If there is a suspension shop in your area i think it wouldn't cost more than $10 to swap it out.
  4. I'm from Indiana just outside of Chicago. I stock all parts for works shocks. Thanks, Shane
  5. Revalving changes the way the shock reacts. You will see and improvement in traction and ride control. A new spring is important in keeping everything working together properly. Think of the valving as the brain and the spring as the muscle. If you run without the correct spring rate likely you'll wear the shock out sooner and possibly render it un-rebuildable. Shane
  6. Racer's advice is spot on! If you've adjusted the pre-load collars and haven't found a desirable result then you'll need a new spring. Shane
  7. We used to be an American Star dealer several years ago. We had nothing but problems getting them to warranty thier stuff for our customers. They never told us they wouldn't warranty a part. What they did was say they didn't receive that part we sent back, tell use there was a problem with thier powdercoater or say it was already shipped when it hadn't been. If you'll all remember every retailer in dirt wheels used to sell thier stuff and now no one does. There is probably a good reason for it. If you ask my opinion i'd have to say avoid American Star! Shane
  8. Can't help you on this one, we've never tried it. What is wrong with your stocker that it can't be rebuilt? Shane
  9. 400EX shocks should measure 16.5" center eye to center eye. Let us know how it works out for you. Shane
  10. Not always will they line up exactly but in any rate they shouldn't be off much. Can you post a picture so we can see better what your talking about? Shane
  11. It will be very costly to make the shocks work with +2 later. You will not only need valving but you will need new springs as well.
  12. Just revalving is not an option on the Banshee rear shock. A re-build & re-spring on that shock is between $300. and $400. depending on what kind of riding you do and the equipment you run. With the Banshee the biggest benefit you'll get from a rebuild is traction. These bikes have so much explosive power that it is hard to transfer that to the ground. Shane
  13. Hey Ruko! I'm still around and building suspension. I haven't been around HQ in awhile because the flamers really got to me. We tried to give a little back to Lee by sponsoring the suspension forum and it wasn't a good experience. Contact us at wolfpackracing@comcast.net or (219)313-1424. Thanks, Shane
  14. Powdercoating is what is on them now and will be just fine. The TCS rebuild to the works shock is a great set-up because Todd changes the valve itself.
  15. I have a set on FMF pipes with Titainium silencers. They were on the quad for only a short time and still look new. Don't know what they're worth, i guess just make me an offer. Email me at wolfpackracing@comcast.net for pictures./ Shane
