  1. Generally red is going to require heat to remove the fastener. Green is for permanent shit. Blue is pretty mild. If you have any purple, throw that shit away cause it don't do shit anyhow! SP
  2. I was thinknig it was 0.003" also. Don't have the bible to reference though. SP
  3. Anyone decied on dates? We are planning a trip in March as well as Snake Hunt WE. SP
  4. I've got CPIs also and no issue with plug access. Got to be careful if the pipes are hot from riding but thats the same with any pipe. If it's jetted right you should be able to put around without fouling your plugs anyway. Just get on it once in awhile to clean it out! SP
  5. Used to have a set but I sold em. Looks just like the intake when its ported. Round corners and knifed in the middle and rough texture. SP
  6. Damn! Who doesn't use lube when they tap? Aluminum is an alloy and should always have lube when tapped else it will guald. Lube is always better, ask your wife! Never tap dry, your just asking for issues. Best O Luck! SP
  7. I had a set of T3s a couple of years ago. Black and in really good shape. Didn't know what I had until I listed them on ebay. They went for around $380 and some guy form France paid outragous shipping to get them there! Not really on topic, just thought I'd comment....lol. SP
  8. Is there really much benifit to the crossover? I've been running a billet 2 piece without a crossover for quite sometime and would be willing to change to a single with the crossover if there was some gains to be had. SP
  9. I work for a company called Multivac. We manufacture high speed automated packaging equipment for the food and medical industries. I am a Field Service Technician. I travel across the country and some intetnational travel to install new equipment and repair equipment for our customers when they have difficulties. You have about a 70% chance of opening one of our packages everytime your wife buys a package of lunchmeat! SP
  10. Yep, I've done my own accept I use a needle bearing instead of a ball bearing. Easy to do if you have access to a lathe. Along with the other tranny modes I have done it does make a nice difference though. $150 is a crazy ass price though. Is that for the shift drum or do they want yours as a core? SP
  11. Yep, if it matches your jugs you should be fine. I have also seen where guys rough up the cavity the crank spins in to help with fuel atomization just like you don't want anything smooth in the intake, transfers, or where you do you case matching. SP
  12. Not sure how long you can get out of a stock tank with a stock motor. I get around 1.5 - 2 hours of hard riding out of a stock tank with an agressive dune ported 4 mill with 35mm carbs. SP
  13. Are you taking material off to the outside of your lines or to the inside? And how did you come up with the lines? They should match the contour of your jugs. SP
  14. Yes, I think that is what Snop meant when he said "stock rod angle" due to the length of the stock connecting rod. SP
  15. Never done anything with Blaster pistons. How do you use them on stock jugs if they are 68mm diameter? Do they have to be sleeved? Max bore on stock jugs is 66.25mm of 0.100' over.
  16. Long rod doesn't change your stroke length, therefore doesn't change displacement. Stock bore stock stroke would be 347cc. SP
  17. What's a good tire to run with lots of horsepower?
  18. You guys are nuckin futs! -35? Who needs that? And you like it! I suppose you get used to it after awhile but I wouldn't want to. I get up to AK just about every year towards the end of May for a couple of weeks for work. Beautiful weather then! Would not catch me there in the winter for love nor money! SP
  19. What warranty? Warm it up a few times 5 to 10 minutes and let it cool down. Then drive it like you stole it! SP
  20. Lexan and Plaxiglass can both be drilled. You just have to be carefull and drill at about 400rpm with a slow feed. I thought he said he used silicon to seal it. SP
  21. Hard to tell from the pics because its all in measurements on the ports. But that intake looks pretty damn rough. Your prot guy should be able to tell you if he can get good numbers out of whats left. Depending on who he is. Lots of good port guys on here, just do some checking. SP
  22. And get rid of those Geckos! They are about the worst performing sand tire! Your only holding yourself back with those. Haulers are the way to go! Just MHO! SP
  23. If your gonna have a shop do it you better get your fat wallet out! Best bet would be to buy a Clymers manual and do it yourself. It will save you a boat load of cash and you likely learn a thing or two along the way. Most guys on here do their own work (aside from porting cylinders and some do that also). There isn't much to these 2 stroke motors, even the cases are easy to work on. You would likely have some questions but most everyone here that comes up with issues finds the answers through posts and PMs. Git er done! SP
