  1. Two into one ? Two what into one what? I am assuming you mean a single carb into two intakes. The only "two into one" that I know of is the exhuast. Just a little confused here by the topic. SP
  2. Cool. I'll give them a shout and PM you and let you know. Sorry, didn't mean to jack your thread. SP
  3. I tried to get some around Kansas City and many places could order the filter I wanted. I went to K&Ns website and picked the filter I wanted with the correct flange opening, flange angle and length. Since it was "special" no one had it on the shelf. I called several places and really didn't want to order it. Finally I called K&N direct and told them I was getting the "run around" from all the local distributors and I was able to buy it direct from them! And they beat everyone else's price. My advice would be to buy from Jeff at F.A.S.T. if he has what you need and go direct to K&N if he doesn't. I'll always kick Jeff or Kevin at HJR a few extra bucks for keeping stuff on the shelf if they can help me out, else go where I need to go. SP
  4. Is it available by the drum? Last summer fuel was outragous. I'm guessing you don't know what is running now. I need to pick up a drum before our first trip to LS in March. I am not interested in throwing money away on VP fuel and I have never heard anything bad about sunoco fuel. SP
  5. Where do you get your fuel? I have a hook up to get C 12 from a buddy that buys a semi load at a time. Don't remember how much per gallon but I was think about $450 a 55 gal drum. Can I get the sunoco 110 buy the drum for that price? That would be sweet! Last time I gave almost $9 a gal for VP red up in Savannah. Hook a brotha up! SP
  6. That shit is wrong on so many levels! SP
  7. 35 years old, happily married for 10 years with 3 kids. Come again? SP
  8. I second that! I have a set from Mike and they are very nice. He will also sell individual replacements if needed. SP
  9. Dude......with 48 posts, don't be that guy..... SP
  10. Damn! I haven't even read your post yet, but I should be on the clock for this shit! LOL. Gotta go back and read it now. Hope its good. SP
  11. I didn't think the exhaust flange was an inch and a half long! SP
  12. I thought they switched mid-year? Maybe I'm wrong. SP
  13. Each side under the pipe (depending on the pipe). M6 bolt. Mine are a hex head but the bolt can vary. SP
  14. Cause some of us have the sickness! LOL...... My next purchase is a new cool head, current one has just lost its luster!, and I want one with a flat top instead of the machined Pro Design top that's hard to polish. Then I think I'll pick up that Mindbender brake. looks cool as hell! SP
  15. The only thing that change on the Banshee over the years was: 87-89 J arm frames 89-present A arm frames wiring changes from switching voltage to component / switching voltage to ground gearing changes 13/42 (87), 13/40 (88), 14/41 (89-xx) I think that other then this not much has changed. In buying anything used you should look at everything unless your intent is to rebuild the entire thing. Ask about the bore size. I would make it sound like I was looking for something with a big bore so the person selling it wouldn't be afraid to be honest about how big it really is. Standard bore size is 64mm. 0.010" is equal to 0.25mm and I wouldn't bore over 0.080" although I think they make pistons for 0.100" over. Bore is the life of your motor. Bigger isn't better. Check frame structure, bearings, overall conditions. Appearance is usually (not always) a sign of maintenance also. 40 hours on a rebuild? Wow, I spend that much each trip out! With proper maintenance, the right fuel, and good quality lubricants I think you could easily get 500 hours out of a top end, like the other guy said. SP
  16. Does the cylinder drop in and out through the RPM range, or just at lower RPMs? If it comes back in at higher RPM ranges then I would think your carbs are not in sync and one side is sputtering at idle and low RPM and then picks up as the needles allows more fuel in. I know, same say "I checked them and they are in sync". I've checked mine by eye several times they "look" good, but when I check the actual flow they can be off 30% at idle. SP
  17. Same here. I run the Renthal Diamond grips. They come in three different densities and I really like them. I think they are less then $10 also. I use a little spray paint on the inside of the grip for glue. The adhesive in the paint sets up fast and holds up great. Better then any glue I have ever tried. Just an old "redneck" trick I learned years ago. SP
  18. Just about any place that sells aftermarket parts would have one. I had one form Trinity and I really liked it. But, like said above, you'll likely get mixed reviews about it. I would rather have a twist but my wife got me a kick ass triple chromed thumb throttle for xmas last year so I doubt I'll get anouther twist any time soon! SP
  19. I am trying to get a few guys together for the 19th through the 22nd also. Hope to see some of you there! SP
  20. If your unsure, check the paperwork or the box the pistons came in, or visit the wiseco website. Should be there also. SP
  21. Is nobody going to answer this guy's question? Everyone is talking about how great of a deal this is and nobody has said shit about why (other then price). I would like to know why all of a sudden these 916 pipes are so great. They aren't anymore expensive then other top of the line pipes and yet we don't see them that often. Do they just sound cool? How do they perform? We just want to know what the hype is. If they're the greatest thing since sliced bread then I want a set too! SP
