  1. Naw, I have a set on some ITP C Series and they are only about 1.5"! But the well on the wheel is recessed quite a bit on the C Series so they don't stick out that far. But you have to make sure you get the right ones with out the flange or they don't work on the C Series rims. Spun rims, they may look a little goofy. But its his bike! SP
  2. RMATV has what you are looking for. Similar to an Acorn nut but has a very deep thread so you don't have the problem mentioned above. http://www.rockymountainatv.com/search.do?...eyword=lug+nuts SP
  3. Didn't know they made anything like that! What do you do about the chips created by the new plug? Usually with a tap they are collected in the flutes if your slow and careful. SP
  4. He is saying you gotta ask for Acorn nuts. Not egg corn nuts. They are M8 x 1.25.
  5. It really sounds like your slides aren't going all the way down. They slides are what meters the amount of airflow mixed with fuel that is pulled into the engine. The higher the slide, the greater the flow. If you put your hand over the intake of the carb you will restrict the flow and the engine would eventually die. This is what you have done with the towel, limited the amount of flow. I think you've found another air leak! You have air going into your carb when you don't want it to. SP
  6. I agree, but I would get a metric tap. I hate to work on things that are both imperial and metric! SP
  7. I don't think a clogged jet would cause your issue. Less fuel less RPM. Slide should be all the way down. Did you pressure test the motor? It should hold 6psi for 6 minutes. My vote is are leak. SP
  8. IMO the V force are a waste of money without a ported motor. You can spend better money elsewhere first. Don't get me wrong, after market reeds run well, just not on a stock port. Fatties are kind of a top end pipe. Gnarley's will get you more low end than Fatties. PT mids are the shit for low end but pricey. Don't forget a timing plate, best bang for the buck next to porting. Don't forget the boost bottle! JK. Best advice = Plan your mods/plan your build = money well spent. SP
  9. So, i guess it went from a parts bike to a project bike? I would have done the same thing! I would love to come across a nice rolling chassis for a good price. I've got a spare stock stroke sitting on the shelf just begging to be run! SP
  10. Wide Open Throttle. And "fat" is rich, not overweight. Or where you just being sarcastic? Lol! SP
  11. New, they are probably worth about 3 bills. I bought a set of sand stars for my wife's bike for around $170. Fronts are probably a little cheaper. Not a smoking deal, but if they fit its not bad. If they don't fit, you'll have more in the tires and new rims then what you could have bought them new for. If you can check them out, like when you pick them up, just measure them before you pay for them. My wife has an Artic Cat DVX 400 and they work great on her bike. I personally wouldn't run them on my Banshee. I've had a few tires and I will only run Skat Trak Haulers or Extreme Haulers. They pull great and have less unspun weight. And I wouldn't run a V paddle. But that's just my preference from the different tires I have used. SP
  12. LOL! They look like they are 2mm off on the bolt pattern! Dude, we can't tell any measurements from pictures! Give the dimensions of the bolt pattern and someone will let you know. I think the rears are 115mm, 156mm on the front. I think! SP

    Lock-up

I run a 4 mil with a DirectDrive lock up and no overide. Bearings throughout and every other dog removed on gears with 6 and every other web removed on gears with 6. No shifting problems here. I don't drag that frequently though. Mostly dune riding. If I were dragging I would definitely have one. SP
  14. I know, almost like having to walk from the far end of the parking lot just to get a gallon of milk at the local grocery store! Lol! It's not that bad. Think of it like an adventure instead of a chore. It can be fun! SP
  15. I would replace all seals, gaskets, inspect water pump, tranny bearings since it is apart, and the obvious wrist pins and bearings (but that will likely come with your new pistons. SP
  16. Your bore, axle, seat and gas tank don't have anything to do with this! lol! Like said before, it is most likely your jetting. I mix 40:1 and you'll probably find most guys mix between 32:1 and 40:1. Probably a few that mix thinner but not many. I would suggest checking your plugs. I usually start adjusting at idle. Set the pilots and air screw first. These supply fuel at idle, mid throttle and at WOT. THen adjust the needle. This supplies fuel (with the pilot jet) at mid throttle and at WOT. Then adjust the main jet. While at WOT you are using fuel from the previously adjusted pilot jet, needle position and main jet. Since the pilot jet and needle supply fuel at WOT as well as the main jet, it is important to start the adjustment with the pilot first, the needle second, and the main jet last. SP
  17. Kansas City to San Diego was $900 shipping one way. I got a deal from a friend that works for the company for $500. Got it shipped back for free from a family member in the transit business. Shipping can be a pain in the ass! And the wallet! And driving 36 hours sucks! I do it anyway to go to glamis. SP
  18. Are you still working on the 09 calender or are you working on the calender for 2010? SP
  19. If your runnign a spacer plate then you likely close to stock crank prot timings. If you remove the plate and run cut domes you will change your port timings and it may very well run like shit. Check with a builder and see what your options are. SP
  20. Did you see the thread the other day where a guy got something like $400 for stock exhuast I agree 100%, pipes and timing are the first 2 things to do to the motor. My advice would be to decide what you want to do with your bike and motor. Make a plan, select the parts you want to buy (pipes, carbs, porting, tranny, clutch etc.) and then prioritize your list. Search for good deals and/or save your money. If you take short cuts or settle on parts you really didn't want based on price, you may not be happy in the end or you could spend more in the long run because of it. I like to look at it this way "I you don't have the money to do it right, you damn sure don't have the money to do it twice!" SP
  21. Trying to get something together for that weekend also. Would love to eat dogs and drink beer with ya! lol SP
  22. You can't say nigger rigged.....it is now called a"presidential solution". SP
  23. I just picked up a Boss intake with internal crossover. I have run individual intakes without any crossover tube for several years. Is there going to be any difference in performance with my new intake? I would think it would be much the same either way. I am running 35 PWKs and currently have Trinity intakes with a "cool" swirl pattern across the intake track. Any opinions? SP
