  1. Sorry man......cool helmet and all.....just didn't really didn't blow my dress up that far. \ SP
  2. IMO the TM design case saver is the best one on the market. Just reconfirming your decision. SP
  3. Are you kidding me!?!? Trinity sells something for less then $100. I'm not sure if I believe that! Lol! Oh, wait......how much is shipping? SP
  4. 1500 cm3 is centimeters cubed. 1200 cc i cubic centimeters. You were 300 cc or cm3 short. Thus the draining through your hanging hose. Got the equation now? Should take 1.5 liters which is equal to almost 1.6 quarts. SP
  5. How do you torque accurately with a crows foot wrench? Any time you change the center line of the force the torque ratio changes such as use with a crows foot, swivel or wobble extension. I use a 3/8" drive ft lbs and a 3/8" drive in lbs for all my assembly work. And the cylinder nuts are a bitch to get to without changing the center line of force applied with the wrench. SP

    Sand Tires

I like the 8" rims myself since the rims are so much lighter then a 10" rim. I have a set of 20" haulers on 10" rims and a set of 21" haulers on 8" rims and I really like the 21"s better. SP
  7. 66mm is as far as I would go with stock cylinders. I thing you can get pistons up to 66.5mm but the sleeves are pretty thin. Boring stock cylinders is the wrong way to go about getting power. You are just reducing the life of your motor. Increasing the stroke will net the performance you are after. But that may require a new set of unported jugs or running a spacer plate. I don't think I would re sleeve due to cost. Cylinders can be picked up on ebay fairly reasonable. SP
  8. I've got a set of 20" 9 paddle extremes that I bring as spares. My 21"s are getting rough. You can run with them to see what they are like or you can just take my word that they will smoke your sand stars. LOL! I'll be at the south camp from the 18th on. SP
  9. If you don't have a chisel and you have a dremel, hmmm, I think there is something wrong. A hammer and chisel are the basic of tools. JMHO. You could always just bite on the nut with vise grips and twist until you twist the stud in two. The next problem is going to be getting the stud out of the case. Granted, it will be easier to get a bite on it with the jug off but it will still be stuck in the case. Good luck! SP
  10. Yep, sounds like something isn't right! Not to LOL but I think you just need to pull the cover back off and retrace your steps. Gotta start somewhere. SP
  11. I have had good luck with HJR and FAST both. I would trust either Kevin or Jeff. SP
  12. For real! I couldn't even make out whether or not you raced the 450! SP
  13. Where did Blasty Boy go? This was his thread! SP
  14. Damn! That thing is huge! I seen a guy with something like that trying to turn around at Little Sahara last year. It was pretty funny. Snake Hunt weekend I think. Got himself in a hell of a pickle! SP
  15. I agree, I think you will need more paddle then that. SP Oh, hell yes, your gonna need more paddle. I just checked out your sig! I would definitely go with an 8 paddle extreme.

    Sand Tires

Check out Rocky Mountain ATV. They have several tires for both. You wont get around in the sand as good without say a "hauler extreme" or something but those tires run about 3 bills a set and you wouldn't want to ride them anywhere but the sand unless your just "to and from" the sand. Front sand tires are nice but not needed. My wife road in the sand for years with no fronts. We just have 2 sets of tires for each of our bikes. Sand tires and dirt tires. Both sets are on rims (the only way to go, changing back and forth sucks ass). Only takes a few minutes to change over, but well worth it IMO cause there is nothing like a good set of sand tires for hooking up at the dunes! SP
  17. You can call Dave at Noss Machine also. He is a site sponsor and great to deal with. His head uses the same domes and the PD head you would prolly get from Alba. I wouldn't buy anything from Alba unless I couldn't get it anywhere else. Their prices where too high last time I checked their site. Besides, I always buy from site sponsors when I can. The Noss Machine head looks better then a PD head anyway! http://www.nossmachine.com/ Good luck.
  18. Every time I've had someone in front of me they have had 2 carbs! SP
  19. I would definitely run a long rod crank just for the peace of mind. That kit doesn't come with a spacer plate (I wouldn't go t the spacer plate route anyway) so you would need to get your current cyls ported for the increased stroke length port timings. If you have to have porting done I would price all the parts needed from the guy doing the porting. You will probably find that whoever is porting it is going to give you just as good of a price on the parts as what you will get on ebay. SP
  20. On a ruler? or what we tell our wives? LOL!
  21. I have a some spare parts laying around. I am sure I have the kickstart shaft. PM me if your interested. I'll make you a good deal. SP
  22. Sounds like an air leak. Like Sleeper asked, "did you pressure test the motor?". SP
  23. Yes, we are leaving on Wed morning (15th) and should arrive around noon. We will be there through the weekend. Planning on swinging by for dogs and beer if the offer is still open. Your at the south camp, right? SP
  24. I have flipped my rears around with my sand tires before. I had a pretty deep offset and wanted the tires under the bike more for more bite. It worked well for me in the sand. Kinda like a narrow axle on a drag bike. SP
