  1. I had one of the first Extremes that failed. I made it about 300 yards and broke a tooth off of 2nd gear and locked it up. Wasn't riding hard or anything. Greg bent over backwards to make it right. It took him a lot longer than anticipated but when I got it back it was right. I'd rather have it right then fast anyway. It was a little frustrating at the time but I am happy with the tranny now. N down 1-5 if you're wondering. Gotta give props to Greg, he took good care of the problem even though I bought the tranny through a sight sponsor. SP
  2. I know that 1 carb is easier to tune without having 2 carbs to sync. However, with the right tools 2 carbs isn't that difficult and you can get them close by eye. Idk how a single performs next to duals. I've read it is more of a low end set up. I have one of them and will probably put it on my son's build. SP
  3. X2 I buy mine from K&N shipped to my house. \ SP
  4. Um....unless your fuel is store either hot or cold there would be no temperature variance to work with since you tank and fuel are likely at ambient temps. Besides, I've never seen a temp sticker with a small enough window to be effective in this application nor would the plastic allow the transfer of the temp change (if possible) through the plastic with any accuracy at all. Best to do your clear tank idea. SP
  5. I want a T shirt! I'm sitting in Detroit airport right now and I'd wear it proud Representing the BHQ! Lmao! I'm not a very big guy and I usually drink too much so it probably wouldn't be long before some local native took it from me but it'd be a fun ride along the way! SP
  6. Make sure the water pump shaft isn't grooved as well. A good seal will still leak if the shaft is grooved. Some of the cheap billet pumps have shafts that groove really easy. SP
  7. Yep, we have a good sized group meeting there on thursday to ride through sunday. TNT, Quaddad, Zacass, Springer, and many more. Gonna bring wives and kids for this trip. We have a house rented across from the closed gas station and will be in both camps at times I would imagine. SP
  8. If that is what the problem is you might want to replace the shift shaft. The rivet that holds the claw on wears and develops too much play in it and it will do the same thing again. The claw should rotate freely but not have excessive wobble to it. SP
  9. I know you're a pussy, Cal, but I agree, too cold! SP
  10. Well, Snakehunt 2010 was a blast for sure, but if you posted under 2010 that's why Dustin made a new post I'm just sayin........ Can't wait! SP
  11. What do you mean *a stock top end*? Over boring isn't going to net any power gains. If you want more power have it ported when you take it apart with complementing modifications. Carbs, pipes, intake and filters etc. I'd go with wiseco pistons, but as far as a stock topend, I'm not sure what your getting at. After market piston, bored only if needed and good seals, gaskets, bearings etc. Go through it good and make sure everything is cleaned and assembled right and you'll have a good running motor. SP
  12. I can't believe it took ryan so long to respond! Lol! I'd like to see them stop us MO boys from tossing a few back! That would be like emptying the ocean one cup at a time! Just sayin. SP
  13. Just dl ed it for my BB. Seems pretty decent so far. Gonna take some getting used just like the update to BHQ did. SP
  14. Tim won't mind, he sleeps just fine through my stinky ass! Lol! SP
  15. A cheetah makes great dune motor cause they make so much usable power. I would second the idea of the serval but there is a bit of pride in make a stock cylinder motor run hard as well. But I would stay away from the cub cylinder unless you want to mostly drag race. SP
  16. Most of my motors have held 6 psi for over 10 minutes. I haven't ever had a problem getting a motor to hold 6 psi for 6 minutes. It just isn't that difficult, therefore I'll spend the extra 30 minutes to gain my own peace of mind. SP
  17. Just my 2 cents worth. I run anything that doesn't hold 6psi for 6 minutes period. The way I look at it is this. If it leaks a little now it isn't going to get any better. It is very likely that any leak will only get worse over time which will eventually lead to a lean condition. I am sure it will be fine today, but what about tomorrow? I am super picky about motor assembly, bearings, gaskets, all are cheap in the grand scheme of things and get replaced every time. It might be a pain in the ass but I have never had engine trouble due to an air leak or anything. Again, not saying the other guys are wrong, I am just of a differing opinion. SP
  18. I don't ride at sliver lake but I do ride at Little Sahara and I think that unless you want to build something to dune with the best build would be a 4 mil stock cylinder or the new serval cat cylinder motor. A cub motor is gonna be very light switchy since the port timings are more for drag racing. Just my opinion. SP
  19. You commented earlier about not being able to read a post that was full of misspelled words and lacking punctuation. I was just trying to be a smart ass by spelling everything wrong.
  20. Don't forget to consider Andy at M&M ATV. Great guy and excellent service. SP
  21. Lmao! You are the man brotha! Damn strate Ima have a knew clutch, weather it needs it or knot! Can ya make that out Tyler? Hehehe! I'm just confused as to how the slipping clutch effects the override shifting. Maybe I'm just an idiot. SP
  22. Don't forget to verify the jetting. Too fat will cause it to run flat or fall off on top. SP
  23. Well, I just watched the video and I guess that was me on my bike. The picture is too grainy to tell. I think the was the first race when I missed the 3rd to 4th shift. What happened to the video of the next 2 races? Those are the ones I wanna see! Lol!
