  1. I redo all of my harnesses and cut out all the bs. Move the CDI close to the coil and the stator. Get rid of the extension cable. Cleans up nicely, gets rid of all the spots that can cause issues, and makes future troubleshooting easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Not possible that they are burnt out if they will light with an external battery. Could be a bad connection in the harness or a failing voltage regulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I never said anything about changing chains Willy Nilly. However, if I had your money, I'm sure I could afford to burn mine. Lol! But seriously, I would just keep an eye on sprocket wear and gauge from that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. How are you measuring? Length? Side play? As with all the equipment I've ever maintained chain stretch is irrelevant up to the point that it has stretched far enough to alter the pitch to a point that it begins to wear the sprockets. Just my 2 cents worth. Is business slow over there. Measuring chain wear....lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. I think Ryan's advice may be misinterpreted. The slides typically have no choice but to move at the same time since the are controlled by a single cable. What is important is that the position of the slide in the carb is identical. The slide raises and creates an opening for air to be drawn through. This open needs to be identical. The lever the opening, the more air flow allowed. The sync tool measures this air flow and allows you to get them set the same. You can also do this by eye but it isn't as accurate. Make sure as you begin to open the carbs, both slides come off the bottom position at the same time. Too much slack on one side can allow that carb to rest in the bottom position while the other slide begins to raise. Then make sure their heights are equal as they move up. Equal in one position means they will be equal in all positions, aside from the resting position. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
