  1. Lol! No offense if he is the crack head? How do you call someone a crack head and then say "No offense"? Just thought that was kinda funny. For sure that thing has been rigged though. The parts are welded together. My guess is that they are welded pretty good too. A magnet sure isn't gonna get it out. I wouldn't even mess with trying to fix it without spitting the cases. Simply because of what else maybe rigged in your lower end. I'd take it apart, check everything and reassemble. The RTV it looks like your cases are sealed with is going to cause you big problems down the road. Someone who didn't know what they were doing has had it apart before. Tear it down, do it right and save yourself the headache down the road. Just my 2 cents. SP
  2. Most of the diferent intakes out there are going to work just fine. As said, some turbulance in the intake tract is desirable. If you were to dyno test several diferent designs I would bet money you wouldn't see more than a HP difference if even that. I dyno tested 2 different intakes I had, one with the cross hair pattern and Trinity's "formula 1" swirl design (or what ever it is they call it) and had virtually no difference in numbers. SP
  3. Um....6 psi for 6 mins or it can leak 6 psi in 6 minutes? This is what you have if it leaks 1 psi each minute of the 6 minute test which you just said was acceptable , 0 psi after your 6 minute test. Epic failure! If you leak 1 psi after during the 6 minute test you have a leak. None of my motors leave the bench until they hold 6 psi for 6 minutes. It isn't going in my frame until it is right. 1 psi leak in 6 minutes is too much. If it leaks that much the leak will only get bigger. It's just an air leak, find it, fix it, ride hard with the peace of mind that you're running a solid motor. It isn't that hard to build an engine that doesn't leak. Just my 2 cents. SP
  4. X2 on the pressure test. The pitting can be cause from numerouse things. Typically any debri wont spend much time in the chamber. Most things flow out through the exhaust quickly. Pitting can also be caused by detonation. However, there is a distinct difference in what mechanical pitting and detonation pitting look like. If it got too hot you will likely have scarring on the piston and cylinder wall. The area this occurs in will tell you a lot about the failure as well. Don't let a shop pressure test for you. IMO don't let a shop do anything for you. The motor needs to be fully assembled to test anyway. It doesn't have3 to be in the frame but the cyls and the head need to be on. SP
  5. If you're serious about going faster I would change pipes to a set of inframe shearers or CPIs and and go to a 35mm PWK. I run the same set up on a 4 mil stock cyl with a very aggressive dune port and it is a very good match. Even a 39 PWK would net you another HP or 2 on top but I don't think it would be worth the fuel consumption IMO. The T5s are most likely holding back your Serval. Of course, you will need to gear it to go faster, you'll only go as fast as your pipes will allow you to rev and your gearing will take you if you have the HP to get there. It's all about the math. SP
  6. You will need to measure the stroke length to tell if it is stock or not. 54mm stroke is stock. Measure the bore diameter to see how much life is left on your cylinders, 64mm is stock. 66mm is as far as most anyone here would tell you to go safely. To check for port work you can easily tell if the casting flaws have been removed from the intake and transfers, polished exaust ports, but to tell what type of porting has been done you will need to measure the intake, transfer, and exhaust port heights, size and shape of them as well. Usually a builder can tell you how the motor will react with this information. To tell what has been done to the tranny would require splitting the cases. I am guessing that if the owner didn't know what was done, there is likely nothing done to the tranny other than maybe minimal some clutch stuff. I would also pressure test the cases/top end to see if there is an air leak. You want to know what happeded to the cylinder that is bad. You can tell a lot by what the piston and dome look like. A compression test at this point is useless. Do a compression test after you get it rebuilt so you have a baseline for when the top end needs to be freshened up next time around. SP
  7. Naw, I got er fixed up real good! It will hold your extra medium ass now! Lmao! I have an entire stock clutch with inner and outer hub plus basket. $100. PM if interested. SP
  8. It isn't any more dangerous than any other riding we do out there. At least no more dangerous than riding around out there with JD on the property! North and back is a bad idea, to many new people will get lost! I figured we'd use a very similar track like Sand Jam or some oval around the sand highway. SP
  9. Ok guys, I have had a couple of people ask about a dune race. We do this every year at sand jam an it is pretty fun. It usually consists of a number of laps through whoops, straightaways, trails and a dune or 2. It will be difficult to manage if the course is too complicated but if there is enough interest I think we could manage a single or even 2 lap race through the dunes. No classes, no age limits, simply a run what ya brung dune race for those that have bikes fastest enough to run with the drag bikes. Let me know what you think and I can make it happen if there is enough interest. Let's say 3 pm on Saturday. Meet at campsite 140 and see what goes. Stop by to let me know if there is interest, post on here or PM me. If there seems to be enough interest I will scope out the track. We can run out to the dunes and do a couple of dry lap runs so everyone knows the course. Maybe Tyler can pony up a sweet ass HQ Hoodie for the winner ! What do you guys think? SP
  10. Bring your shit! Ethan will sell it! lol! I might be interested in them spindles. SP
  11. Good idea. Building a motor that makes good power where you want it is the only way to do it. Research is cheap, trial and error is not! And there is no porting to be done on the head . SP
  12. There is a little hotel in Waynoka. Single rooms run about $50. Doubles and triples are $89 and $99 with a kitchenette. Not much but they are clean and you can ride to thedunes from the hotel The hotel is north of the dunes and you have to drive through the dunes to get to the south camp where all of us are camping. There is a grocery store, Hutch's Market, but the prices are high and it is just a small place. Alva, like everyone said is about 30 min north. Enid if your coming from the south, There is also a liqour store in town and you can get their watered down beer at the grocery store also. The liqour store prices are pretty high so I would suggested bring enough of your favorite flavor from home! See you guys there! SP
  13. Did they change the deminsions on this one? I have the same one andit won't even clear a 15t without modification. Had it for a few years though. SP
  14. There is no stud on the frame for a chain roller. There are 2 tabs with a through hole for an axle or bolt for the chain rollers. On the axle or bolt will be a bearing or two (depending on the type of roller you buy) with a nylon roller on the bearings. http://www.tmdesignworks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_195_168&products_id=331 SP
  15. No kidding! I'd hate to have seen what he would have done to himself if he was drinking the real thing! SP
  16. No kidding! Only a michigan boy leaves his shit apart until the night before the biggest trip of the year! SP
  17. If those are out of your price range, I'll sell you my Shearer inframes and buy the show chrome pipes! SP
  18. And you let soemone else change your oil without telling him what to use? SP
  19. Don't listen to the booger picker. He rides the short bus. SP
  20. That's how I know you're gay loco. Hartley (bbcmudfuck) is in 139. I am in 140. I don't know who is in 137. SP
