  1. What's Cal's excuse this time? Another audit he can't finish in time? Cam, you better straighten your boy out! Lol! SP
  2. Sweet! Gonna be a hell of a good time! For real though, no drinking this trip. NOT! lol! Site 109, reserved. SP
  3. I'd say at least a 39. A 35 would probably run but I think you would sacrifice some performance. SP
  4. My duner came back from HJR at 235psi. Didn't ride it much at that comp. Had domes recut to run at 185 psi. Been there for 3 seasons, going on four. SP
  5. Especially when you come through Missouri to pick me up! Lol! SP
  6. Nevermind, deleted my post, I was looking at Good Friday in March rather than Memorial Day. Gotta back up and punt now. SP
  7. True....However, the clutch is right behind the clutch cover. And it functions entirely on friction and creates a shit ton of heat. Especially if your drag racing, or doing any type of activity that may require so clutch slip. SP
  8. I agree with finch on welding the crank. If it comes out of phase or spreads you can ruin a set of cases or worse. As far as compression, I think you'd be fine with 21 cc domes depending on elevation. But as said, many factors should be considered. SP
  9. I mean really, don't you know that your time off the line doesn't effect your elapsed time? Your elapsed time is from the time you actually leave the line until you pass the finish. And I am with zilla, it was probalby the difference in a launch or you actually shifted at the right time or something similar. But maybe you explained all that already in one of your random posts of run on sentences and I just glazed over it trying to get to the next post of something I could actually comprehend. SP
  10. Was that really all one sentence? My head is still spinning. I thought he said he gained .3 seconds down the track but then it rolled right into something about bel ray working better and then into another thought regarding something about rider ability and trying blah blah blah. My mind was out of breath before I got through the intire thing! SP
  11. That motor could likely handle a pretty good sized carb. I don't think I would run anything smaller than a 33pwk on gas. You compression ratio or static compression will determine what octane fuel you need to run to prevent detonation. You can either determine this yourself or ask the builder. You could run alky but you will use about twice as much alky as gas so it may not be a very fun "fun" bike as you will always be getting fuel. Also, you can set an alky bike up a little different than a gas bike with a different dome size and cut. May just want to stick with what was running in it before. Any idea what timing it was running at or if it even has an adjustable plate? SP
  12. Depending on the port job and how much it flows will be a factor in carb size. I run 35 PWKs on one of mine on gas and 40 PWKs on my other on alky. SP
  13. Roller bearings definately wont hurt anything. Nothing wrong with the added insurance against failure, and I'd say with a cub ported by K&T set up and tuned right would likely make more then 100hp. Good luck and Happy Racing SP
  14. I paid 1000 for mine in a set with LSR +2+1 a arms. SP
  15. SKF are good bearings. Depending on the application you can get a Max load bearing or TZ bearing but I wouldn't worry about that unless you are making over 100 hp. Also, the use of straight cut gears will reduce/eliminate any side load on the bearings making a ball bearing adequate for the application. Just my opinion here, I am sure others will agree as well as some will disagree. I would say pulling the bearing the way you did is all up to experience as to whether to reuse it. After years of being a mechanic you kind of know/feel if the bearing came off easily enough not to have been damaged. Usually something like an interference fit comes off easily enough while a press fit most likely wont. SP
  16. When removing a bearing by pulling through the internal balls or rollers there is a risk of damage to the races. Even using a bearing splitter (I think that is what you refer to as a clam style). It is alsways a bad idea to introduce a hammer or any pounding device when installing or removing bearings as I think goes without saying. Not saying that damage occurs everytime but the risk is there. And for $40, I'd rather press on a new bearing than split the cases again. SP
  17. Pulling against the outside race to remove the inside race from the shaft exerts all the force from the outside race though the balls or rollers to the inside race which can cause damage to the balls/rollers or races which will lead to bearing failure. SP
  18. Shouldn't have been any force applied to the outer race.... SP
  19. I run Klotz Supertech in both bikes. Gas and alky. Nothing wrong with Yamalube either. Many brands as stated are very good oils. Personally I wouldn't run a walmart brand though. SP
  20. I have one that I paid about $300 for several years ago and had a slight fitment issue. I bought one of these for Ethan's bike and it fit nicely. I figured for $75 I couldn't go wrong. It's nice to think that you get what you pay for but sometimes that just isn't the case. I'd recommend to give it one a try. SP
  21. Wow, something got missed in translation I think. SP
