  6. I have 2 seat covers that I bought off a memeber about 4 years ago that are supposed to be from 2005 SE bikes. The seat portion is dimpled. Can you tell me if thats the difference between a regular and a special edition?
  7. Been there done that. I have a piston and head with those exact markings.... Was a small chip off the crank bearing that did it. The race cracked when our alky motor went lean. Better tear it down now or It'll cost you more later.

  15. Ya. It's well known that certain street bike fibers (including FZR 1000) are the way to go because of the extra contact area but the manufacturer material is whats key.Don't know what Jeffs getting but they aren't OEM Yamaha. Don't really care anyway. Jeff's a great guy with excellent service/prices.
  16. Hey there Jeffrey! Been a while. Happy Holidays to you. Saw my name mentioned in your post and thought I'd add my nutswingin' .02 to the topic for the new guy's. We've (my family) bracket raced 1/4 mile asphalt Banshee's since 2005. Having done serious track testing over the years with a number of brands and compositions in our multi-stage lockups I can say that the Fast fibers and steels are excellent and all I'll run now. There are cheaper choices but you usually get what you pay for.... Link to an old youtube video someone posted of me. I'm at 4:52 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebG3qMelLak
  17. I've got a brand new set (One - 1/8 mile pass) of M/T 19x8x10 Jr Dragster slicks on new Douglas Blue Label rims. I'm not giving them away but if your looking for a hell of a deal on new PM me. 18. I think it was 18's Bryan (Candy right)?
  19. Good question Surfrjag. Assuming all is good there... I've raced 1/4 mile asphalt for years and know from ET slips exactly what my bike will do. I also install new pistons and rings at the beginning of each new season. With freshly nikasiled cylinders I prefer to start on the tight side (.012) on my 68mm cubs but have been as high as .016 and not seen an ET difference or felt any performance was lost. Turbo and nitrous guys run larger gaps like DDU said.. Don't waste your money on buying more rings just because your a little wider than you'd like.
