Big blue you have to have a shop and buy about a minimum of $5,000 worth of cubs to start. The more you buy the cheaper they get. Let me know if ya need em. KasRacing, where ya from? Anyone can get em for 875 true , but we throw in some more porting and some real good tips for that price! The pistons $ sounds about $100 to high also. If ya need a better outlet pm me !! I havent heard of ANY of the shops charging 450 for porting on Cubs cause there is just not that much in there to do. Im not bashing you , im just trying to educate some.. Enjoy your new cubs they will rock!

Prolly about a 6.5-7 . A 7mm cub will work alot better with different components other then what you have listed !! It can be made to be a 9-10 sand slinging monster though!!! Have some on hand if your ready!

Well said! I have seen several smaller motors beat bigger motors time and time again. At Idaho we were running a 4mm cub and smoking a 10 mm Trex up the hill ! Even beat some 585s and 535s from Oregon . A well tuned 4mm will prolly sufice but totally up to you. Find someone your comfortable with and answers your questions.

There are 8 little rubber cushions that you cant see with the backing plate riveted onto the back of the stock basket. Thats where your play is !! The other big o-rings are vibration/sound dampeners.

Nature of the machine with a stock basket! The rubber cushions behind the plate are getting worn. If you install a new billet basket it takes all the slack out with new better cushions.
