Both are good oils for certain things. The castor oils tend to carbon up sooner than most synthetic oils. Maxima 927 is a castor oil and has kinda of a sweet smell to it cause of the castor oil. Klotz Super Techniplate is a synthetic blend with 20% castor oil and the Klotz also has a racey odor added to the sweet smell of the castor so it kinda smells well .......perfumey (if that is a word) . lol The Maxima 927 is harder (thicker) to mix when in colder climates though but the Klotz is not. I prefer Klotz motorcycle TCW3 black label as it burns much cleaner, smokes less, and saves me money on my car insurance. $ lol

It is when we sell them ! As i have said before , several companies are selling them as ported or cleaned up and they are just out of the box cast. :ermm:

Where did you get them from? The bores should be shiny chrome looking with some cross hatch patterns. The aluminum often has like an overspray look to it from the Nikasil.

I can do the same thing for the same price and call it a drag port But im not gonna do that to my customers. Too many people out there saying they are "cleaning up" or "drag porting" and the customer is getting basically off the shelf Cubs !! IMO a drag ported Cub wont really do you much good running the wrong pipes, tires, carbs, swingarm, reeds, etc. . But a properly setup Cub will make you much happier.

Yeah they are Direct Drive brand. Need anything else MFIC, just give us a holler!!

As with any engine build, it is always best to consult the engine builder! The singles can be made to run hard too but none of those options are what we would recommend on our drag engines. If your going with Jim , see what he recommends.

We have had several customers with non old and non gay :laugh: coils and they reported the same thing. Quicker starts , faster revs, cleaner response! Much hp on a dyno??? Prolly not!
