  1. These seem to work best for us and have a stiffer taller scoop then the others mentioned. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=281
  2. Yep, must of gotten loose/worn on you and broke the skirt. IF you have all the pieces accounted for then your prolly ok. BUT if not then its a crap shoot as sometimes pieces can get lodged in the crank bearing oiling holes.
  3. We have done full drag stock cyl 4mm and full drag Cubs. In a 100 yrds they are tit for tat and i wouldnt want to bet on either one they are so close. BUT after the that the Cub begins to outpull the stock cyls.. Both are reliable. If your saying drag and "TRAILS", then i think you will be much happier with a stock cyl play/dune port unless you have the extra money for cubs and dont mind the majority of the power to hit up top.
  4. Yep, pipes and porting yield the biggest gains. I would say a timing plate should be next on your list. I would go with the T5s for a broader powerband. Then...welcome to porting!
  5. You can send the pistons with the cyls and they could check em at the time of porting. Should be fine with hone and rings.
  6. BBC, we have been stocking and using these Dunable Extremes with NO problems. Give me a call! If you go through WCR you will pay about $30-$40 shipping back and forth plus deal with the wait. Dont be last, get em at F.A.S.T.!!
  7. I think a good ported 350 stock cyl will work great for your type of riding. They are still our most popular and dependable motor. There are plenty of site sponsors on here capable of helping your build including us!
  8. Also make sure the bowls didnt get switched from side to side as they ARE different. The one with the lil bb at the bottom goes on the choke knob side!
  9. We're in Kansas also, build bikes like yours for a living, and ride where you ride...and i would recommend 33 PWKs ! Give me a hollar if you need help.
  10. May want to check the sync of the carbs. Air/fuel screws the same? You doing a full throttle plug chop or just pulling them out and looking at them?
  11. Thanks Hilarious, we try! Dajogejr, motors would get burnt down around here with the jetting specs your saying. Our findings are right inline with Kevins as we are at 1400 ft and run 172-175 range on most w/39s, and at sea level or longer runs we run 180 -185 range. In my experience, if the Drag porting flows efficiently enough it doesnt seem to change jetting on Cubs more than a jet size or 2. Ryskie22, in the end I recommend you ask whoever you bought the cubs from or your builder as they should know or they shouldnt be selling/installing them because as you see, on the internet you will get several answers and some could cost you alot more money than others!
  12. What does Kev say?? You need to ask him, He ported it! IMO , they are fine.
  13. Yes they are Blaster pistons. 20cc work great for most Cub applications depending on fuel requirments and alltitude. Call me and i will be glad to hook you up with everything you will need to go with those used cub cyls. so we can make sure your headed in the right direction.
  14. Stock cyls vs Cubs when both ported we have seen them tit for tat, dead even in 100 yrds sand drag. BUT in a longer run the Cubs alwasy pull ahead! Drag stock vs stock cub prolly the stk cyls. But dont forget, neither will run optimum without all the correct components.
  15. Why pay more when you can check with the HQ sponsors at the top of the page. Our website is down for repair/updating but our # is 785-364-5325 VF3 reeds are $219.99
  16. Not exactly "Couldnt be rebuilt" but with a crank that has been run on alky all its life, and may also need even more parts once torn apart, for the price we are giving him on a new one its not practical.
  17. Dont just go by HP#s when picking a builder. There are many other good builders out there other than those mentioned. KT does good work, We also have proven bikes out there. Michigan dynos seem to read a bit high IMO but Rdz does have some fast bikes. We have had stock cyl 350cc run 3.9s w/average wieght riders, 4mm Cubs running low 4s with 300lb riders, and cubs around 110 hp with only Inframes (out of frames will make much more). Kevin does good work and is close to you. I will put ours up against any of the above mentioned.
  18. Hey thanks, guys we appreciate the props. Savage, thats some funny shiat right there. lol
  19. Great way to save about $50 and i still see some tits on em !!
  20. Or you could just call us as we are 2 hours from you and usually keep both on hand.
  21. Um , did i mention i have a mechanic position open??
  22. Hey, GOOD pics = better prices next go round ....
  23. Snap On is the standard in the Industry for accuracy. I have a box of junk used Craftsman, Harbors, Jet Star Razors edge, etcc.... that i wouldnt use on my lawn mower. Have also used some good Mac and Matco guages that seemed to read identical to my Snap On. I have sent mine out several times to people who had Brand X and it always reads different (where it should be) than theirs.
