Good porting will make all the difference. Better/bigger carbs and a cool head will help too. We have made the HP you are looking for with FMFs so if your on a budget they will work for now. IF you need a crank already i would get with a builder and see what your porting you have now is like and possibly go for the 4mm Play/Dune port. Nice deal on carbs in our Christmas Special!
Bakersfield, there are alot of opinions out there and some will make you faster and some will not. Give me a call and i will gladly point you in the right direction. IMO, do NOT lighten the flywheel, Do NOT go lockup with the motor you have, Do get some different porting. We now carry the Dunable Extreme Override Trannies that can be rode just like a stock tranny. Call for details.

I've had our stock stroke Play/Dune port outrun a 4mm cub before. Doesnt mean they will outrun all Cubs, just means ours was setup correctly and the Cub wasnt. BUT, I will put our Drag ported CUBs up against their 350 drag anyday!!
Need to make sure the bowls are on the correct carbs. One has a brass BB on bottom edge of the bowl and the other bowl doesn't have one. The one with the bb goes on the left carb (w/Choke knob).
Also need to sync the carbs!
Depends on which pilot jets you have in them as to where to set them. Generally the right side (riding the bike) carb is set a tad richer because of the bigger intake and extra valve on that side. Call/pm me if you need help.
Yep Boss, Porting would be a better choice than pipe change from the sounds of it. Maybe some Dual carbs after that for more mid/top pull then a set of CPIs or Shearer pipes for even more top end depending on what your looking for. We have built some awesome bikes that were VERY fun to ride and they had stock carbs, FMFs, our porting and pump gas.
Generally 21cc is good for prem. gas. Many variables apply though, alttitude, bore size, porting (if any), etc.. Depending on your application, you may be able to go lower and make more power. Feel free to call me and i will help you.
If your in Kansas its like 24 degrees here right now. Who ported your bike, might ask them? I would say stay with the 350s till it warms up a bit or start taking it down SLOWLY till your plug chops say your good. Cold weather is Taboo for new 2 stroke motors!! As for vibration, may want to check mounts, check flywheel, and check carb sync.
This one works awesome for us:

OR you can also add this for an even smoother clutch pull:

You will first want to do all the bolt on's that you can such as timing plate, V force 3s, Cool head, gearing, etc.... THEN call for porting, carbs, etc..
