  1. Have you read books from Jennings, Bell, or even Gorr?
  2. I drove a ram like that and was about to spring for it, but fuck a manual trans in the traffic I sit in.
  3. Wait'll you can actually get in to the power and actually get it hooked up. The Cubs are just to harsh.
  4. If you ride trails, the chrome gets nicks from rocks and terrain. Those nicks are where rust forms and spreads from. Even the best of chrome wouldn't stand a chance. Maybe on a duner, but even that gets hazy.
  5. Firm wheel and emery cake compound. Run it on a corded high speed drill if it's still on the bike.
  6. Because they part out a lot of bikes and if indeed those cases are trenched, I'd imagine it is because that was what happened to be sitting on the shelf when it went together. There is no logical reason to trench for anything but stroke. If indeed they are trenched, you're losing a slight amount of performance due to lower case pressure.
  7. Have you ever done business with a Meth Head? That is your answer as to why you should look else where. Above all else, that thing is priced about a grand to high. It's beat, and if someone is willing to budge that much on price, that should be your first indication some fuckery is afoot.
  8. You are incredibly rich. I'd bet you come in around 27.5 pilot, and 270-290 on the main. The needle will probable be second from top clip.
  9. Jay at IPS had the in with V force. Windy happened to be one of Jay's friends that got to do a little mule work.
  10. For sure. Serval, Cub, DM, DMX, Cougar, Caracal, Puma, Sphinx, Liger, etc... All with different bore & stroke combinations. Different stud lay outs, different spread, different deck heights, different exhaust flange just about anything you are willing to pay for and wait for they can do. Have you seen any Cheetahs plated and un machined from CP without it being a DM? I tried to get one like that and Harry stated his were all machined. I thought he was doing all the finish work on PV's?
  11. Some are controlled by an electronic servo and move according to RPM. But most are pneumatic. That means they use exhaust pressure to actuate. When pressure builds, the valve opens and similulates the exhaust port getting bigger. Almost like it goes from low timing trail type port to a higher duration drag port. You can tune them using spring pressure and some use bleeder jets. Kind of like a turbo wastegate.
  12. http://www.atvdragracers.com/forum/two-stroke-technical/2826-power-valves-vs-block-off-plates.html#/topics/2826?_k=9egvtx
  13. All Cheetahs are set up for PV's in the casting process. It's up to the builder to install block offs or the PV's
  14. Cub is pretty much the same port layout as the Cheetah, but it doesn't have the powervalves and runs banshee reeds instead of 250r reeds. DM is 250R reeds and much larger bore.
  15. He never made cylinders. Calvin at CP industries and Harry partnered on the Cheetah and Harry did the R&D and had exclusive rights to them. Motors were coming out making way less then advertised and people wanted other options. So CP created the Cub and DM, etc. Harry still sells the Cheetah cylinders but they are not cheap and they still need a competent builder to set them up.
  16. Yes. They were more concerned with cool looking Billit instead of producing quality motor work. Dasa stepped in and bought Trinity out. Harry is now running a more scaled down operation now under his own name McDermott Racing. He still owns the rights to the Cheetah cylinder and Banshee exhaust.
