  1. You do not need an override to run a lock up.
  2. Get it ported now while it's apart. You can always bolt on different carbs and pipes later. As far as the lock up, probably not totally needed yet. Definitely look in to getting the transmission done though.
  3. My buddy bought some of their leather covers for his new Sierra. They were like $200, but worth it.
  4. For something like that, look in to the Iggee stuff.
  5. I ordered the Deluth Trading Co. covers a few days ago after seeing them in an F350. They seem nice. I'll try to remember to post the results.
  6. Stay away from Carhart! They are actually pretty chincy. No where near as nice as their work gear.
  7. 10mil super serval. I was about to do a stock frame and be done but let my self be talked in to a full chromoly frame so it's become a waiting game.
  8. If the shock is worn enough to make a new bump stop necassary, it's time for a rebuild anyway.
  9. Crank is welded? If your fuel is good, +7 is about as high as I'd go.
  10. Never ran my Dyna on a dyno yet. I just take it to the track and feed it timing till it starts to get Un happy, then I back it off a degree or so. Not sure I wanna test the new 10 mil like that though.
  11. I friggin love my Dyna! It's nice to make it freight train through tight stuff and out of the turn, but on the 1/2 mile course you can pull timing out and really let it rev.
  12. Test the Pick Up per Clymer Manual Spec. When using a stock CDI set timing plate to zero and work up. If you have the Dyna on, make sure that if there is a plate on as well that it is zero if the CDI is adding timing. Or take notice of what is on the plate then program the Dyna accordingly. The Dynas can be finicky if you are not 100% sure what kind of timing it's throwing.
  13. If you're looking to have it built, have whomever does the cylinders do the whole thing. It's the best way to ensure the highest quality. Jeff and Cody build great motors and have a pretty damn good reputation. If you do the Assassins, both Bill and Lane at Driveline are great guys with tons of experience. Either way, ya can't go wrong.
  14. Any update on what the LED's made on this yet? Once the frame gets here, I'm ready to send it all out to Arlan. Just wanna be sure.
  15. They exist. Pretty normal before the aftermarket cylinder craze.
  16. That's an old school set up. Very cool if you can get it to run. Have you tried it with less then the 8* of timing posted above? Give the electronics a once over. Fresh boots. Clean all the connections and grease them with Dialectric. Clean stator pick ups on flywheel. Gap pick up. Etc.
  17. Brandon has taken over his family business and has stepped back from the banshee thing for now.
  18. Oh, you've gone full fourfiddy. You never go full fourfiddy.
  19. You do realize air leaks melt motors down, right? So I guess it makes sense to take a time bomb riding.
  20. I genuinely like the heavier slingshot for trail riding and out of the turns for TT. . Totally helps the bike get in the power.
  21. Just build another motor and keep your current as a back up. No more down time.
