  1. Hit up Johnathan Jans on Facebook. He has a build on here as well where he modified arms to clear.
  2. Fux wit CrankShop carbs? Local sled guys talk them up.
  3. Keep the stock frame then. Do a few mods to it like the subframe, clean up and gusset a few things, and buy the best suspension components you can afford. Roll or Fireball Long Travel would be the way to go.
  4. Not exactly. Lots of different styles and options. Pro Mod is more suited for trail/dune riding. It's the full year set massaged in different spots to make it shift like butta. Then there is the option of moving neutral to the lowest position. The are also over ride transmissions. They are tailored toward the drag racers. Available in all different combos. Neutral down 1-5, 2-5, 2-6, 1-6, 1-4, 2-4. Totally clutch less shifting.
  5. Best to get it all the way broke down for a cleaning. Pretty sure they go in the cylinder with the two lines facing up. Maybe CamATV will confirm.
  6. Seemed like he was all talk, but he has over rides in some pretty well known record bikes and I recently rode a buddy's bike with one of his pro mods and it felt pretty decent.
  7. That fella on Facebook is selling the whole shebang for $3500. It's mint, if you are serious snatch it up. If I didn't give a wad of cash to a guy to build me a frame, I would be buying it.
  8. Price will be similar all around except the crank will run about $800-1000 more then a 4mil crank.
  9. Make sure to not use factory sized jets that come in some rebuilds.
  10. Then it's a dirty or worn needle and seat. How does the little plunger doohickey right at the pivot of the float? Have you had it out yet?
  11. Porting is gonna be 3-400ish. There is a laundry list of engine builders who are doing great stuff with these machines. Hit the sponsor list and start making calls to see who you feel is on the same page as far as budget and goals are concerned. Ive sent stuff and bought stuff from multiple guys on the sponsor list. Fast, Redline, LED, etc. all great fellas. I'll post on the head info in a bit.
  12. Check float height as well and beware of dealers! These things are simple once you do it all once.
  13. Whoever you choose, JDS can do custom covers and lenses with a multitude of designs or even your own design.
  14. Stockers are good and if you're not ported it's nonsense to swap carbs. If you can't make the stock carbs run clean, what makes you think a new carb you have no experience with at all will fix your issue? They all need to be dialed in regardless of size and brand. Believe it or not, a 2/1 requires a better tuner then if you had the stock dual carbs. They get finicky on the midrange to top end transition and takes a perfect needle and position, otherwise they just feel goofy. Your decisions and money, but I reccomend learning the stickers before spending money. Maybe, just maybe, if you had all the bolt ons, I'd do a set of 28mm PWK's but that's after everything you could do before porting. Now once a motor is ported, not just material moved here and there by someone who thinks they know porting, but an actual two stroke specialist, you have a whole different animal.
  15. Lotta has been folks out there. I'm saying his claim is doubtful or fellas on bigger bikes weren't riding well.
  16. Shoot, I never checked this. Sending PM
