  1. You may wanna pump your brakes and get some extra support on the steering stem hoop. Especially now that you are running a longer stem and monster riser.
  2. Staying stock stroke? If so, a pair of 28mm PWK's would be better, but a set of 33's would be just fine. They would certainly pull better from mid to top. The 33's would also be quite adequate if he ever went to a 4mil crank. Either way, the stock crank should be welded and if he goes to a 4mil, don't let Kevin talk you guys in to one of their budget 4mil cranks.
  3. Looking at cone diameter and length, I'm thinking very similar to PT's.
  4. Just figured there would be someone outside the states looking for other exhaust options. http://www.rrd-preparation.com/en/pot-echappement-quad-2t/14853-pot-echappement-tk-turbo-kit-cross-quad-yamaha-banshee-350.html
  5. I'd say you're assumptions about the excessive timing, compression, and fuel all played a role in that kind of catastrophe.
  6. Porting, compression, timing, vf4 reeds, SLP pipes, welded crank, driveline clutch.
  7. What's the price? Need a set to tide me over till snipers come in.
  8. Ditch the Dyna for OEM and a plate. You can do severe damage running a plate with advance and an advance curve at the same time. It's just way to much timing. You could run your plate at Zero and let the Dyna do it all, but with out the software and a lap top, you have no way of knowing what the curves are. Dynas certainly have their place, but it's on race bikes only when someone is able to spend the hours on a Dyno getting it programmed.
  9. How does someone get discouraged with hardware like that laying around the garage?
  10. I wasn't trolling when I said you could spend 10K. Stockish banshees with a few bolt ons are fun for sure. But in a couple years you'll be addicted to how fast these things can actually go. Before you know it, you'll be asking guys about how to do a mean 4 mil and buying all the right chassis parts to keep ridable. It adds up quick is all I meant.
  11. Fresh oil. Fire it and give it light rev and let the clutch out quick. Maybe a couple holeshots and it should be good to go if the basket and hub are in good shape. If if you're not satisfied, pull the cover and pressure plate. Then remove the clutch pack and seperate the frictions and steels by hand. Inspect the basket and inner hub for wear that may also keep the clutch from moving smoothly. Fuck, thread miners got me!
  12. Just call Racetech and tell them which ones you need and they'll get you set up.
  13. Banshees are awesome when you can keep them wide open. Just ask your self if you're prepared to spend 10k on one. If the answer is no, go get the raptor and be done.
  14. That's me. Full set available. Send pics of a pile of cash before asking for pics of fenders.
  15. Barely rode in two seasons because of that. I usually get slow in the winter so I can ride, but not having ice kinda screws that up.
  16. Wasn't that ECATV having the billit forks made? Weren't they a flop? There are fella's making some pretty serious horsepower and still using OEM forks. Seems to me forks are a bit of a disposable/maintainence item once you are running an over ride and making good power.
  17. ^ Interesting. I'm not a drag guy but use mine on oval track and focus the clutch tune on the hole shot, and it happens to slip a bit between gears getting out of the turns. Basically it becomes a fine combo of gearing/tire, spring pressure, and weight. I went through plenty of springs and tried lots of different weight. So you're saying it doesn't have enough weight to fully lock the clutch up beyond the 60'? Since you say it 60's ok, but still slips, that means the current springs can slip the shift like you want. So try giving it a touch of weight till it just locks up all the way. Then prepare to sacrifice some springs from there.
  18. Hit up Jesse. He is making some killer 7mil stock cyls.
  19. Check that the ball and rod aren't welded.
  20. 22-23 CC should be decent. Maybe go 23 and some timing.
  21. I do, but I know a lot of fella's who chuck them.
