Here's a couple buddies of mine here in MI...they are funny as heck! http://www.sonicjay.com/m50m/index.htm

Keep in mind you only need 7.5 or 8lbs of torque on those babies. Snapped one myself not too long ago...was lucky enough to get a pick and work it back out...

It's called the swingarm pivot bearing. Magic sells the whole kit, bearings, caps, everything but the bolt and sleeve... http://www.magicracing.com/Pivot-Works-Swi...it_p_0-323.html

hard starting and lots of questions for new shee owner
dajogejr replied to Dan's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I've yet to fine a better deal on a top end kit. You need to either tear it down or have it torn down before ordering pistons. Your machine shop should be able to tell you how much bigger pistons you can go with, buy the kit, and bring the pistons to the machine shop so they can match the bore. I should note...only get the size you need. If you need .020 and buy a .080 over kit, you've wasted a few good bores. Normally, a .010 bore job will do each time, unless you really fudged something up!! Here you go: http://www.magicracing.com/Wiseco-Piston-K..._p_133-135.html -
Shocks probably aren't causing that... I'd check the wheels/spindles/axle and see if they're bent. Then shake down the front end to make sure ball joints, tie rods, spindles or bearings aren't worn... Since you mentioned pavement, it could just be the tires trying to grip the cement. Check everything anyways...but, you have OFFROAD tires...they're gonna act funky on pavement..period.

Good luck touching 90 with just pipes and an air filter... You might be able to...but unless you're on an airplane runway...it'll take forever... I agree...with those tires, 13 or 14 in the front...

Google is your friend: http://www.troublecodes.net/isuzu/iszucel.shtml

Yep...was planning on that. So...how do they work? I know the outerwears and K&Ns are going to be touching both...bottom line, do they do what they should??

Just get training wheels...

To be honest...MX and SX have been exciting to watch the last 2 years. We all remember the MC check out and see you later. BORING!! With the mixup of RC, Bubba and Reed...it was at least interesting to watch... I'm not a Reed or Bubba fan, but I respect them and their talents/ability. I agree...I think Bubba will only have to push it 95 to 97% out there with RC gone, and that's fast enough to beat just about all of the field. I couldn't agree more, RC is comfortable riding on the edge and staying there, while bubba hasn't found that mix yet. He pushes a little to hard, and often pays dearly for it...

Any big named shops are busy right now, period. I fully understand the wanting to ride it soon...dying to get saddle time on mine right now. Call around...get comfortable with a builder, and see what their turn around time is.

That's good info... However...and don't take this the wrong way... Just because you can cut on a machine, doesn't mean you have the knowledge on how porting cylinders works... However...I know RaceTech or RaceLogic (not sure which) have port maps that allow you to port cylinders off their specs and measurements. Now...how good of a port job that is...who knows. But, I'd bet it's a good starting point to a learning curve...vs. starting up all by yourself... I don't like the spacer plate. But, porting and machining cost money. So...for the quick, easy and simple answer (and cheaper... ) yes, use the plate for now. When you have the money and time, then get it done right...a good port job will really compliment that stroker motor!!

I see RC pulling a "Part Time" like MC, Henry and Dowd often do. You can bet your arse he'll race Daytona for a few years after he retires...just for fun, and probably a few other select outdoor races. I'm not sure if he's racing part time outdoors next year, but...he is part time in SX...
-
Stator, CDI or Coil. Normally...it's electrical once it warms up...what I was originally thinking. I have two stock coils in my garage, let me know if you need one!
-
Without a doubt...RC is the GOAT. Yes, MC has about twice as many supercross wins...but that's it. MC was never that good outdoors. Ok, make that he NEVER dominated like RC does in MX. Let alone, we may never see two perfect seasons, on two different bikes. RC is racing "selected supercross" races next year... Don't forget, when RC was a rook in the 250's...his first two years were rough. Then...he turned it on...indoors and out. This was either bubba's 2nd or 3rd year on the big bike (can't remember) and he hasn't been able to keep the rubber side down consistently. He may or may not be the future...he's got a ways to go. I don't know how many others can claim indoor and outdoor championships on three different manufacturers... He even took a "zuke to the championship...something even MC couldn't do... I've followed RC's career since the ametuer days in Loretta Lynn's. I can remember all the hype of him and KDub coming up...and I think we all can agree RC lived up to that hype. RC was never the fair spoken, pretty boy face of MX or SX in the same way MC was. MC was the poster child and ambassador for the sport, and he did that very, very well. RC was all about racing, period. If he got second, he was pissed. No one wants to win as bad as RC does, period. Some people talk about being happy about being on the podium...not RC. It's first or nothing. His training regimen is second to none, as his commitment. You simply can't knock a guy for that!!! RC is the GOAT, without a doubt!!!

You need to check your sparkplugs... You may be too Rich, would possibly explain why it starts good cold...but tough when it's warm...
-
Shouldn't have to do that... Hell, if it's tuned right, you barely even have to kick it...you shouldn't need any gas or choke, especially when warm...

Slides not opening at the same time
dajogejr replied to 00ultraz28's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Those hoses are most likely vacuum lines, which banshees don't use. Some 4 stroke motorcycles (and possibly ATVs) use vacuum instead of the throttle cable to open the slides...it works off a diaphram... That tool posted above is about half the price and works perfect... -
Check your electrical as well. New plugs, check the coil end caps, etc. I'm assuming it still has the TORS on it. Check all those connections too, at the throttle, parking brake, on the carbs and going into the TORS brain under the gas tank. Don't overlook the little things, like a clean air filter and fresh gas/oil too... Normally...if it's compression, it'll be reversed. Start like a mofo when cold, but start right up when warmed. Don't get me wrong, compression test it anyways, just to get a base line. Have you done any mods lately? What are your mods?
-
Yep...you could've easily spent hundred of dollars and hours trying to fix two dollar plugs... Glad to hear...!!
-
Exactly what I was thinking...heat up arond the head and bend 'em out. I'm about 99% positive Toomey didn't build 'em like that....
-
Normally...after storing, it might take a few kicks...but it should start. 3 weeks isn't long enough for gas to go bad...a few months, sure. Before you pull all your hair out, might not be a bad idea to drain all the gas and put fresh stuff in if the easy things don't work...
-
Shake the bike standing on the pegs for 5 to 10 seconds. That will eliminate your mixing gas worries. For less than 2 dollars a plug, buy two new ones. Air filter clean..? Last time out, few weeks ago, did it run fine when you put it away?

Sorry to sound like a dick...but, ditch those T6 pipes and those paddles. That's a drag/dune bike. Get some better mid-top pipes and some hauler paddles... That is one suwheet looking ride...no doubt.
