  1. Not trying to sound like a smart all..so don't take it that way... But if that breaks and you flip on your lid and bust your melon, a warranty on a part is the last thing you'll worry about... Just be careful and keep an eye on it. It hurts a tad more to eat it on concrete than dirt/sand...
  2. I see the heims where they attach to the bike. I"m talking about the brace bars that I circled here:
  3. Where do you put the 2 stroke oil?? LOL. Those bike are Cadillacs. They are heavy tanks but sure don't accelerate like one...very nice. I'd love to be on that ride where those pics are taken. Call me an old mf'er...but I'd rather take a 40 to 50MPH trail ride on one of them big comfy bikes then beat the hell out of myself with even a new 450.... I got a bike that goes fast in a straight line, I got a mini 50 cc pit bike that is a blast, that bike you have is my last piece to a missing puzzle. I want a UTV that I can just put gas in and ride.... Very nice!!!
  4. Those guys really do some nice seat work/upholstery, that's for sure!!
  5. Off topic...but does that wheelie bar have heims in the two bars in front and back which serve as the braces? If not...you could be in a little trouble if you hit it. You need some heim joints there for some give. If it's solid...it'll break, especially on pavement. I can't tell by those pics. Powder and colors look great!!! Make sure you yamabond that stock head, hoping you have it cut for an Oring. I used to run a stock head cut and Oringed for my 10 mil, it always seeped water from the outside...
  6. Fine point indeed Snop. I just can't see a piped bike with air filters and "stock" port and internals beating a ported bike. Then again, porting only gets you so far, it's tuner and rider after that....
  7. You can kiss my ass you young punk!! No...in the 80's there were no belts or yard sticks. I got taken out back in Pappy's farm and they used branding irons from the cows/pigs or leather straps from the horses.... LOL

    UFC 111

I agree... I think Mir/Carwin is going to be a YAWNER.... I think Alves is going to fight pissed off...if he doesn't let emotion take over, he'll pound out Fitch. I really can't wait till 112. Sylva and Penn on the same card on the same night? Should be awesome.
  9. If you bought this plastic as Brand New, Nearly New or EXCELLENT condition, then you might have a leg to stand on. (I don't know the original ad or conversation, just saying) Otherwise, you bought used parts. They're never as nice as new. If a hole and a couple of scratches have you that wound up...buy new next time and pay for it. I think 250 is fair if that included shipping because shipping plastic like that (the size of the box) is 75ish or so...
  10. Ditto... I used to also go out and get drunk in High School at nights and on weekends with friends, drink and drive...and be flat out stupid. Times are different now. You fucked up back then, your parents beat you with their hand, a belt...or whatever was closest. Now...children seem to have more rights than their parents and social services would be called on them. Cops back then would take you home if you got caught out drunk because your parents would deal you swift justice.... It's different now. You didn't get "scared and run"....you planned to run, it was a punk move...and you also also plan to run again. Here's the difference... When we did it we didn't post it on a forum for the WHOLE WORLD to see. We laughed about it with our buddies at a party...or at a campfire, etc. WE didn't have Internet back then, times have changed... We're just telling you stop sounding like an idiot. We never said we weren't idiots ourselves once...
  11. You have a 4 mil 350cc? What...did you buy smaller pistons?
  12. So you want to complain about a guy but you can't put it all together? You complained about him here and started a thread. Finish the story here. I read this area to check up on bad sellers. Since you're doing the complaining, you put the facts together...why should someone have to do all your legwork? All I'm sayin'.
  13. Oh Boy!! I thought you'd have 17cc domes for a stock stroke. 17cc with a 4 mil stroker? Too much in my opinion. You have a different problem unless you are at 4000 to 5000 feet elevation. A 4 mil stroker motor with 22 cc domes even ported should be 130 plus in cranking compression on a quality gauge. You are correct in needing domes cut for the blaster piston, they have a different crown than the banshee piston. I think properly cut domes in the 20cc range would do you much better. Put it at 5 degrees of timing to start...and run 108 or 110 race fuel. You have to check your compression ratio for octane needs...as well as lean a little on how much timing you are running. Cranking compression with a quality tester is a good idea to measure wear and get a baseline, but cranking PSI does NOT equate to octane needs. Your cranking compression is effected by port timings, your compression ratio is not. I hope that makes sense....
  14. Yep...please post pics to help your case. No use posting the guys picture without proof on your end...to be fair.
  15. You're not ready for methanol...keep it on 110. You use twice as much, if it's cold out it's a bitch to start, you have to purge your bike with fuel/oil once you're done running or plan on putting it away...Methanol is very corrosive AND it sucks moisture from the air. Unless you're a hard core duner or drag racer, methanol just isn't in your bag. There's a lot of maintenance involved with it...and your fuel mileage is TERRIBLE. 17cc domes are tiny, I hope you have your crank trued and welded. If not...bad idea. Is the motor ported? Just bumping the compression alone is not the ticket, build around a good package. Kingsley, I'm not trying to sound or be a smart ass... In my opinion, you've got the wrong reasons to go to methanol....
  16. If you have a 1-5 Extreme, there is no 6th gear, FYI. I believe that was from Andy @ M&M who said that over on drag racers. He does not make an extreme with all 6 gears cut for override, 1-5 is a as close as you get ...unless you're talking about Manual 5th and 6th like you have. Just wanted to be clear for others reading.
  17. IMO...they'll be better than the 17cc. You might lose a little out of the hole due to less compression, but you can bump your timing 1-2 degrees to compensate for that. It'll rev out further. I personally like domes cut for alky...but you gotta run what you have.
  18. I just read the cliff notes. Here's an idea...wait till you're old enough to drive or trailer the bikes to the LEGAL riding area. I was dumb and young once too. And older people told me what a dumb ass I was. I listened...and turned out sort of alright. Do yourself a favor...nothing you can say will make you look any better, smarter...or worth a shit. By breaking the law you're making any of us riders look bad. Shut up...take your lumps.... Next time, you'll get your shit impounded and probably a swift ass beating from the cops...then you'll be on here crying about that too. This...was made for you.
  19. 5-8 HP on alky vs. gas. If you could make 5-8 HP alky PWK vs. alky Lectron...there would be more big name builders using them too... They are easier to tune IMO. My bike never ran any better times with either carb...but it is easier to tune with the Lectrons...and, it ran more consistent numbers. They are also less finicky in my experience.
  20. BigMatt..I'm confused. You mentioned "clutching alot" in your post, are you talking about gearbox/clutch oil or the premix with gas.
  21. On trail bikes I always used Bel Ray Gearsaver oil. Magic carries that too. Believe me, I've been there enough and put one of their kids through college years ago....that place is the adult candy store!!
  22. I've got one and love it. That's a fair price...should sell. Might want to try Ebay.
  23. A. Those are all things you should know. B. That's what I'm talking about with compression. Too much compression and the motor could be fighting itself at the top end...that could easily be a tenth there. I can tell you from experience as a cub owner...cubs are laid out very well from the factory. In 300 feet a great port job is 1-2 tenths at most. In 200 feet it's even less. You simply can't compare the gains made by porting a stock cylinder to an aftermarket, they really are apples to oranges. Just because he has the same motor, again...doesn't mean you'll run the same times. Just because his is ported and yours isn't, doesn't mean porting will get you there. As said....find out what is going on with your motor as far as compression, etc. Learn to tune what you have...get the most out of your setup. Take notes, what made you faster, what made you slower. NO one just bolts on parts and goes faster. You have to make it all work together! Good luck!
  24. Lectrons would need needles. I've seen them as cheap as 60 a pair...but I think they're about double in price. Power jets are 25 to 30 bucks, JB weld is a few bucks. Drill, clean, jbweld and you're done. You don't change the floats in Lectrons unless you switch from gravity to fuel pump seats. I wholeheartedly agree with Lectrons being easier to tune. I've had and ran both. You have to have the right needle to start off with. And the problem is there are two Lectron distributors in the world. Fast by Gast in NY and Packard. They can pretty much charge what they want for them...
