  1. Wish I had the money. Buy it now for 2900? I'd win the auction...and drive to Chicago to pick it up...and bring the police there too so he didn't try and screw you... It says retro 2006...sounds fishy. I know it has the throwback graphics, etc...but, something is not right.... I think I'll email him and see if I can buy it now and pick it up in person with a certified check or Money order?...we'll see what he says... Besides...what the fuck does this mean? If You Search For A Safe Deal, Under eBay, With Free Shipping, 30 Days Refund Policy And 5 Days For Inspection, You Just Foud It. DO NOT BID ON IT. Your Bid Will Be Canceled. Please Email Me First. I emailed him and set him a PM via Ebay...from my google account (spam catcher account)... I'll let you know what happens....
  2. Good to know....thanks. I'll give them a call when I'm ready....
  3. Damn I wish I could make it...$$, lack of ride out there...and...oh, yeah...$$ are keeping me from going. I was out there last year...late September or Early October...the riding weather was better (cooler) but the nights were darned chilly... We might be planning on two October trips...so..let's get it figured out. Hope all of you have a great time, be safe...lots of idiots out there with no common sense...roost a 4 stroke or two for me... Sam...if you haven't gotten a hotel by now...you'd better start calling. I'm 100% certain if you just drive up there Friday night you'll be sleeping in your car. They take reservations in advance for Labor Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July weekends up there....
  4. JT...how come you didn't get the 1-5 instead? Just curious.... Did you keep or remove 6th gear?
  5. I use BR8ES...I have the nology w/ hotwires and a Dyna. No issues...
  6. Because he's running Keihin carbs...their jetting numbers are way off in comparison to Mikuni numbers.... There's no corelation between the two. Mikuni's also go up in size by 10, even numbers. Keihin doesn't....150, 152, 155, 158...and so on.
  7. Yeah yeah yeah... Trust me, it's gonna happen boys. But...I think you'll agree...right now an override and lockup are a better investment before I go to meth... I've got the paddles, I've got the suspension to get it to the ground now....but without being able to shift great with a non-cut tranny....It would almost be a waste right now...
  8. I don't know what you guys are talking about... Night has 26 banshees....kidding not. Win all the time will he. Strong is the force, in him it is.... Winning 2 years in a row, he will Smoking pole, he's been. >>>////\\\\<<<< and all that shit.... I'm all for it...good idea.... Travis should be disqualified right off the bat, with all that ghetto bling.... :yelrotflmao: Seriously...You've got to look at that bike with sunglasses at night...it's sick... I've only seen pics, but...I'm sure they don't do it justice....
  9. Special thanks to Lee for helping a fallen brother out.... Best of luck, Joe.... I wish I could make the trip to Silver Lake this weekend for quite a few reasons, just not in the cards or budget right now, unfortunately....
  10. Hell yes they're awesome... They basically get drilled and mounted in the air horn on the back of your carbs. The overflow tube for your floats is removed, and the hose goes from the bottom of the float bowl to this powerjet. You open a little knob on top the jet to increase fuel flow from about 1/2 to full throttle. The idea is you dial your main jet as lean as is safe. Then...you have about the equivalent of 10 main jet sizes at the twist of the knob. It's not a big deal for gas...but, for methanol it's huge...since they use so much fuel. I got mine done for two reasons. 1. Yeah, I'm going to methanol sooner or later. If I talk to jankab anymore, in person or on the phone....he's gonna trick me into it...I just know it... 2. Not sure when I'm going to go to meth (I won't be taking his calls anymore....) but...I plan on racing mine on the ice this year too. So...instead of richening up 2 to 4 sizes on the main to compensate for the much, MUCH colder temps...I just twist a bit....

    Stator

It's cool to swap out electrics to test for bad components...and, hey...I'm about as broke as they come now a days...damn this cub motor.... But...I spared no expense when it came to my ignition. New Dyna, New Nology and New RS Stator....electrical headaches are the worst, by far.... Glad to hear...make sure he gets the right year wiring harness for the Stator from RS...they're good people!!
  12. Lee....since it's a holiday weekend coming up...I think it'd be nice to Pin this at the top for a fellow rider and HQ member that got the shit stick this last weekend. Here's a bigger pic of Joe's Quad....best of luck!
  13. This is the guy I'm going to be using when I get mine done.... badassbanshee479 has one from him, dunable, loves it...no issues. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sspagenameZWDVW I'd just call him instead of going through Ebay...
  14. Does it still have the factory carbs and TORS on it? It's the big oblong boxes on top of each carb with a knob to turn for idle adjustment, and wires coming out of it. Could be dirt in the tank, dirt in the carbs...but...the TORS are notorious for malfunctioning and causing spark issues.... Chase has a pretty good write up on how to do it...here: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry557013 (Hammer optional... )
  15. imageshack.us is what I always use.
  16. Make no mistake, this is ALL about the marketing of PRIDE. Mike Tyson, like him or not, demands and gets media coverage and attention. There is no disputing that. I can gaurentee his first fight will get more media coverage and advertising dollars than any previous fight, period. Promoters are smart enough to give him a "lesser quality" opponent for his first fight to which he has a better chance of beating...which, he probably will. WHY? Cause the next fight will draw even more capital. However....once he starts fighting anywhere NEAR the cream of the crop...I don't think he'll last long at all. Watch your ears, boys...watch your ears. Crocop is one cold, bad ass fighter. I'd love to see him on UFC. I've never seen his ground game...but I've seen others try and take him down...he's got great takedown defense. You get hit with that left leg....lights out.
  17. Joe, first off...the image didn't work. Please try again. Also...you need to post this up on PlanetSand.com as well. There will be a TON of guys at Silver Lake this weekend that are more PS regulars.... Sucks man....good luck on finding it...
  18. Alot depends on "If your jetted correctly" in the first place. I'll agree...150ish is pump/race gas mix numbers. Your milage may vary... But, if you're not that high of compression, race gas is a waste of money...it will offer no help...other than smell good. You should probably buy a good quality compression tester, Sears sells a motorcycle/small engine tester for about 50 bucks. I'd rather spend 50 bucks and know I need to run race gas/mix...then not know. Also...it'll give you a good baseline as to what compression this fresh motor has...and when it's rebuild time later... Now...throw one more thing in the factor...is the timing factory, or does it have an adjustable plate... Also...don't waste time on octane boosters. By the time you figure out X amount of gas, Y amount of booster and Z amount of oil...it's probably easier to just get race/pump mixed....peroid. I've always run super M at 40:1...but, there's plenty of other threads about what kind of oil to run. Benoil and 927 castor are a favorite among the alcoholics, it stays mixed with meth longer than normal oils do.
  19. I would guess the PC's flow better than the DGs. Since you already have 320s...I'd put them in. This would be a good time to completely remove your carbs and clean the heck out of 'em, too if you haven't done it in a while. You're gonna be close....get a couple sets of plugs to be sure...
  20. Welcome aboard.... Need some more info. What mods do you have done to the bike? It's probably going to be carb related, or "other" electrical. Carb cleaning costs you nothing, maybe a bottle of carb cleaner...and time. You can do some basic electrical troubleshooting....remove the plastics and check all wires for burns, cut...frayed, etc. Something is probably grounding out. or...if you have the factory TORS...I'd bet they're playing a part in this.
  21. I run both. 8 on the plate, curve 3 out of the box. They really shine when you get the CD, cable...and hit the dyno with time to tune the curve in... Then again, I have a 4mil cub with about 180PSI...if you just have a run of the mill bike...a plate works just fine...and the nice thing is, you KNOW where the timing is...no guesstimates.

    Stator

Ricky Stator, 125 plus shipping including a timing plate he can sell for 30 bucks or so. If you're gonna build it, build it right.... To quote a good friend: "You can go broke trying to save money..."
  23. I'll have to look at my directions myself. I thought I read it shouldn't be hooked up to the CDI itself, and it should be hooked up to the coil... There is something special about a tether kill and the coil...will have to dig a bit.
  24. That is good advice. As is the plug chop...as long as it's done correctly....
  25. Yep...it all has to do with tire carcass construction. They can be the same size...but as said, have a different rollout ... You guys should check out SandToyz Unlimited. They've got good pricing as well.
