You, nor this user, never said anything about a Hinson clutch setup, did they? So...going on that...the assumption is the clutch is stock unless otherwise stated. And...since that still seems to be the case for the original poster, I stand by my comments. Overtightening the hold down bolts will NOT change the clutch pull at the lever period. I've got right around a 100HP motor right now, Magnum basket, stock inner and outer plate and Jeff's home made clutch kit. It is holding up fine. Hinson makes nice stuff...but, Mine is a helluva lot cheaper...and works 100% perfectly. All I did was state that based on the stock clutch ...your statement is wrong. And I still state that. YOU, however, called me an over ego'd crying ass pussy. Did you not? Who started the name calling and personal attacks? Oh, that would be you. Since you've fried two clutches and have had to put new ones in, I'd say you have it down pat...no need for me to stop on by and fix it for you. Unless you want to borrow my torque wrench so you don't overtighten anything. Lastly....do you really think that years being an HQ member or total post count has anything to do at all with one's knowledge of the sport or overall knowledge of motors? There are people on here with 3 times the years as me on HQ, 4 X the number of posts...but since they sit in the general discussion forums all day....does that make them king shit? No. That was truly a rookie comment on your part. I'd be happy to debate facts, experiences and findings all day long with you, and keep it cool. However, re-read this whole thread...and you started the personal attacks and name calling...so, yes...I'll fire back as well....and I've got nothing but time on my hands...I'm here all day.

Thanks for the reply.... I put on RDZ inframes, 35PWKs, Nology and a Dyna all at the same time...so, I made a big jump from stock carbs, igition and T5 pipes to compliment my cub....
-
Ok ok... Get your ass to Clarksville you two. Wallace it's a two hour ride for you.... Jay....burn the midnight oil and get r done. Be nice to see some fellow HQ'ers out there.... I think you don't live to far from there, do you Jay?

Barnett HD springs are the bomb. Call Jeff...his kit with 3 HD springs and 3 Stock springs is all you'll need.... I think his kit is about 10 bucks more than if you were to buy a barnett or EBC kit...and well worth it.

Jay...alky is about half the price of race gas. Down side is you go through almost twice as much...and you have to run it out of your tank, lines and carbs when you're putting the bike away for more than a few days. Or...purge it. You can count on me being there the last weekend of October. Gonna leave Thursday early from home....and have a solid weekend of riding.... Me and my buddy Bob will be there. If he craps out, I'll hook up with JT and get there... Already arranged it with work....
-
Question, Od.... (and thanks for that input)... Could you tell, seat of pants or by racing the difference? I'm wondering what the difference would be on alky....since we all know how much alky you gotta flow!!

Do you mean for pricing or for specs on it? Call Jeff at Fast for a good price. here's the data on it.... http://www.dynaonline.com/english/atv_fs.htm#top

No....4 tenths. Best of 4.7 but consistent 4.9....but thanks... I'll doo doo my drawers if I pull another .1 or .2 out once I try your 11 and E's 14 row paddles. JT...did you pull that 4.3 with the lockup and override? Brother, I spend Thursday through Sunday in the pits Early in the season, and I'm still hearing about it from buds... Lucky...we took Bob's truck out to the dunes, and I got to ride around on a few of their bikes....which was very nice of them. Still...nothing like riding your own. JT...I've got a roof to put on before end of year...which is gonna cost me. I have some other things to do around the house....too. However, next year I'd like to make a few out of state trips, and Bob's up for it too. I know how your priorities are starting to follow the path I'm on now, can't blame you...I'm a year or so ahead of you on that curve. Sucks...but, toys gotta come second!! This Mortgage and responsibility band wagon really sucks....less money for toys and beer! :yelrotflmao:

Thanks Michael... Quick Payment, quick response...hope you're happy with the shipping and merchandise!!

I know what you mean....headed down the same path myself.... Already on 110, and alky is coming very, very soon... I would love to see how much more HP you would get out of 39's vs. 35s.... I got a steal on my 35s...and I'm happy. But, I might end up selling my 35s for 39s...not sure yet.

33 to 35 is stock from everything I've seen, heard and read.... And that's rear wheel.
-
Any pipe is worlds different than stock.... If you got CPIs for MXish, you'd be dissapointed, I think. My favorite non-drag pipe are Toomey T5s. They don't do any one thing the best, but they do everything very well. FMF Fatty's would be my next choice...

welcome to the club. Hi, my name is Dave, and I'm a bansheeaholic....

Not sure of how much MSD are...but, I know dynas can be programmed for that, and they're in the ballpark of 280ish.

Call jeff at Fast and get his "homemade" clutch kit. It's street bike fibers, HD Steels and barnett HD springs. I used it all last year on my stock motor, bolt on parts...with 3 HD and 3 stock springs. I'm using the same clutch this year with my 4mil cub (all 6 HD Springs) and have about 12 to 15 dyno runs on it and around 70 or so 300ft sand drag passes.... All last year, all this year...and it's still going great. The springs play a huge role in how well your clutch holds up...

Seeing a dyno run in person is fun as hell. I don't want to sound like a jerk, so please don't take it that way. Just being honest...but, here goes. You're not going to get to 50, let alone 60HP with just bolt on mods. 45 to 48 is about what you're going to get, once they dial in your mains...If they have a generous dyno....you might get 50. That's actually pretty impressive. Normally, piped and air filter banshees with a few degrees of timing get around 45ish.... Bigger than 28mm carbs really won't net much of a gain since you have stock porting. One more bad point...T6 Toomey Pipes are great stock port pipes. You can do some very minor porting...and they'll still work. Once you get to a strong dune port or drag port, you'd probably actually lose HP over T5's or other pipes. With tuning, they'll probably squeeze another pony or two out.... Post up a picture of the dyno run printout when you're done!!!!

Either way, the flywheel is coming off. Get the Ricky Stator plate, it's 35.00 plus shipping. It's a few bucks more... We all "Say" we're not going above 4 degrees...but, I'd rather have a plate over an offset key anyday. Plus...the plate is adjustable, the key...well, you're stuck.
-
Hey...Wicked. I'm not sure if you got carbs yet, but a guy in the for sale section is selling a pair of 35PWKs AND K&N Filters for 200 bucks. That's a steal....pick 'em up if you can!!
-
You're in a general (read, B.S. Form)...you'd get better help in the tech help section. You mean the actuator arm on the left, top side of the case? Do you have the clutch cover, clutch hubs and plates removed? I THINK, but I'm not sure, if you take the cable end off....you might be able to get it out. I'm not sure if it has pressure on it when it's unloaded from the cable.... If the cable is already off, and it's not lifting straight out, you'll have to remove the side cover, drain the coolant and tranny oil, and remove the 6 clutch spring/bolts...the outer hub should slide right off, relieving any pressure...you can leave the clutch plates/fibers in....just the outer will have to come off. you might want to get a clymers manual, you'll want to be sure that arm is adjusted properly....
-
Damnit anyways....he's already "packing" more than me.... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: Congrats, JJ....hope mom and new son are both doing well. remember, quads don't need training wheels...start him off early...

Damn...that's funny shit right there JT... E keeps telling me, over and over, once I go alky, I'll never go back...and I'll wonder why I didn't go to it sooner. After riding his 4 mil he just sold last time at Bob's....it made me sick how nice they can shift and drag.... At least if I take off on yours...you have a pretty good starting point on mine. Won't have to go from square one. IF, and that's a big IF, things go right...I just might have a little surprise for ya... Override and alky might be here by end of October.... I'm trying to get more people to go too...but, we'll see.

Free bump homie... If I even thought about taking my shee out on trails again, I'd already have bought those Razr2's off you... My bud has front and rear 2's on his piped/jetted shee. They're awesome!!
