http://www.cdcopy.sk/ That will extract the .wav file off the CD.

I think you're a hair lean on your main, despite your elevation...however, that won't fix your idle. Try unplugging your TORS system. Do a search here, chase@miamiatv.com has a thread will illustrations on how to unplug it.
-
I think the cases have to be machined to accept bigger bored sleeves as well...
-
Your mains sound fine. At or less than 1000ft...I normally end up with a 280 or 290 main. Go and get 4 or 6 spark plugs, follow this guide...and you should be set. I'd say you're damn close as is. Is there a specific reason why you ripped the carbs apart in the first place??? http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html

Mine hook pretty good...but, I'm going to have to balance the front end in the air and traction today... I was going to leave mine home...but, that track is going to hook like a mofo...so, after trying the 14s and yours, I might have to throw mine back on...

I can't ride yours Roger... I'd be too spoiled with an override AND a wheelie bar...I wouldn't know what to do with myself?? I had to go over cubshee's house the friday before last time, working on mine, kinda helping him (give me that wrench, where'd my beer go kinda stuff...) He sold that 4 mil bike, they came up from TN and picked it up last week I believe. Mine is ready to go, 14 row on...and JT's gonna borrow me some 11 row taller haulers!!! Cubshee and Mikey are out for today...and I'm pretty sure Mikey won't be tooling around on his crotch rocket today either.... Give me the call...Willard Scott!!!!

Good communication, fast payment....thanks!!!

100% exactly what I was thinking.... Timing plate at +4 and a shaved flywheel will really wake that bike up. it'll get on the pipe faster and start haulin the mail... Do you have stock or aftermarket tires? Suspension, gearing and tires are often overlooked....all the power in the world won't do any good without getting it to the ground...

with your mods, temps, riding locale, etc.... You should not need bigger than 27.5 pilots for your setup, even if you remove the airbox and put pods on. What kind of spark plugs you running? Gap? As said, compression check time.... When mine had an airleak, WD 40 would not make a difference, I think it was too thick. But, carb cleaner saved the day...it almost died out on me... You should be able to run 25s in there with a turn or so out running an air box.... You said you did the rebuild kit, but...did you just swap parts, or did you completely clean the carb bodies with all of the brass out of it. Pilot circuits are tiny as is...a spec of dirt can throw it off....

2 tanks at 1/2 throttle? Wow...you have way more self control than I do....:)O
-
Do a search...just like exhaust, jetting, oil type, blonde, brunette or red head, opinions will always vary. My way. Heat cycle it twice. retourque. Heat cylce once. Cool down. Beat the hell out of it. After three heat cycles, mine went straight to a dyno.... Some say less throttle, some say mix more gas... I've never done any of those. It's all your choice.....

Those RK tech heads do look cool...I must admit. But, Dave's service is top notch, top quality...and, I'm sure his domes, being interchangeable, are much more readily available in different cc's and bore sizes.... Plus...Dave's a site supporter and his advice is priceless....

Here's what the jets look like... Mikuni small pilots and hex mains are what they look like. To remove your pilot, you'll need a very small flat head screwdriver, and the tube is right in front of the main.... http://www.magicracing.com/Mikuni-Individu...ts_c_716-1.html

As long as the rings are seated around the pin on the piston, they should be ok...but, you can pull off the intakes and look down the cylinder. You say it runs great for an hour...that's plenty of time to be warmed up. It could be wrong...but, chances are the top end is ok...piston/ring wise... Also...since the air filter was in such bad shape, might as well take off each carb, and clean the living bejesus out of them. I remove ALL brass, and use a small speaker wire strand, carb cleaner and compressed air to blow through everything. Even remove the choke and clean it out good... Too much oil and a dirty, dirty air filter can easily clog a jet or another small passage... Check your float levels, needle and seat condition, white glove it all.... Just for the heck of it, drain the gas from the tank, remove the fuel valve and make sure the on and reserve screens are clean too.... Best of luck.

Noticed that yesterday it was down... No offense to anyone here...but, their banshee section (really, the only one I went to) was really lacking... Denny offered some great, great advice there and was a big part of it. But, there were a lot of clueless people on there in my opinion, and they were the ones giving bad advice... Den....you remember the guy that said said set your idle one cylinder at a time by pulling a spark plug wire on the opposite side. I about shat myself.....

Dunno.... They've been having test and tune 3 to 7 lately.... I'm thinking I'm leaving my house at 12 to come to get you...we'll figure out the pickup, and head on out.... I'll give ya a call later!

GO get some sleep...will ya? I've got your member ID page bookmarked...tired of looking for your phone number... (although, you'd think I had it on memory speed dial by now... ) Let me just go check my banking/visa statment...I'm sure it's on there...

I hear ya...it's been a rough year for me...started off that way anyways...and JT's had his share of bad luck too.... Mine is settled....and his will be soon. Jason....if this time doesn't work out for you....we talked about an alternative already...

I'm not doubting your dad's ability...but, if it's something you have to ask...it might be best to send it out to a builder... Just my opinion....

If you've come here to start trouble, you've come to the wrong place. Starting out by using two different screen names with 1 post each is not going to land you any favors here.... DO NOT bring your problems and other baggage here from another site just to get exposure... I suggest you watch yourself, very, very carefully....

HOLY CRAP.... boonman...how the hell are you? Dave Noss had a good write up here how to check the squish...as much as I'd just love to write another one of my novels....here you go... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=66864&hl=

Thanks for the heads up... Just what this site needed....Ronnie Sheppick's brother. great.... :: ::

At .100 over...odaen...he needs to save some money for that big bore kit... Robin... before you go with a 404 kit, look into a cheetah cub setup as well...

They weld the crank journals so they don't separate under high RPMs... Safety and insurance... Always a good idea!! Once the crank is out....most builders charge 35 to 75 bucks...call around. Since you have the clymer and the tools...just look up clearance specs. You might get away with a re-ring and honing the cylinders...might be time for a fresh bore...The clearances will tell you... Wiseco Pro-Lites are the way to go in my book. magicracing.com has a pretty good price on a whole top end kit, all gaskets, wrist pins, wrist pin bearings....the works. You're in for a treat...but...the faster bug will bite you soon... Good luck!!!
