  1. Brandon, You're not doing anything for the Cheetahs above 68mm bore though, right?
  2. If you are specifically looking for a local MI builder, R&B is a good choice. As is Mike @ Lakes Motorsports in Waterford. Otherwise, talk to Kevin @ HJR, Jeff @ FAST, Andy @ M&M or Jim @ Passion. All site sponsors, quality builders, etc. I've never seen Rob do anything other than Drag Motors. He's got Stages 1-4 porting on his site, but I never believed in that "Stage" stuff. I've always believed in the right port job and work per customer... I have to be honest...if you wanted 70ish out of a set of stockers for duner type motor, no problem. 80 to 90 is kind of pushing it on stock bore/stock stroke unless you're looking for an all out drag port (narrow, high RPM powerband) If you wanted to turn your motor into a 4 mil stroke, that might be a bit more obtainable. RDZ cylinders are cast like any drag motor is built, triple exhaust ports and worm holes/boyseen ports, whatever you want to call them.
  3. He's taking the Chinese cylinders and putting his porting on them. At the end of the day, the question is how much work do you have to put in them to get them to run like a CP cylinder does out of the box? Of course Rob is going to say their better than the CP cylinders, he is no longer a dealer for CP because him and Calvin/CP have some kind of issue. There is a post about it in Resolution Center on Planet Sand. Calvin is basically saying he's pulled all support from RDZ, he is no longer a dealer and asked customers to buy from one of his other dealers in good standing. When Rob broke the record for 400cc this year, what cylinder was it on? Pretty sure it was a cub motor.... I know any new product, like these cylinders, need time to be developed. But CP cylinders have set the bar pretty high and that bar has been there for years.
  4. I've got bigger heim joints on my drag bike and all it does is go down a flat 300 foot strip. I don't know if I'd trust that heim to unload it off the back of my truck, seriously. Grainger has all kinds of different Heim joints, as does McMaster Carr. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to save you from some injury...I wouldn't trust that heim to go up and down loading ramps in the back of my truck/trailer...
  5. Soon...I will have R2 pipes for my 10 mil cub. I've had Shearers for years. The Borrink bros promised they could make me more power...so I'll have some testing on some R2s in the next few weeks hopefully. Once Sniper gets more sets under their belt (I know they're working on inframe first and out of frame next) I will probably try a set of theirs as well. Aside from gearing and paddle changing on my bike, there's not much more I can do to gain ETs other than shave s few lbs, which, I'm trying to do. I'm out for better ETs while keeping my bike consistent. I'm in need of motivation this year to get out and ride/race...and these new pipe manufacturers are just what I needed!!
  6. At this point...if NYUK has his address, a box of shit with peanuts is on the way.
  7. 2 dollar vs. 80 to 100 dollar....I'll take that any day... Just make sure you figure out why you burned the plug! Have fun brudda....wish I could be there!!
  8. You all have a good time...I really wish I could go, just don't want to drive that far to spectate and ride someone else's shit when mine isn't done or put together yet. Thanks for the offers Jeffro...You know I appreciate it!! Be safe and have a good time!!!
  9. My man...thanks Kiel!!!
  10. lt...I have used double base gaskets in the past with ZERO issues. I do use a thin RTV coats on both sides..which, honestly after you smash the gasket it actually gives you the same original thickness. I've found torqued down, you lose .001 to .002 of the thickness...you break even with RTV. Some don't believe in it...I had to sand the deck of my 4 mil cub and ran two .012 base gaskets to get the squish in check...NEVER had an issue.
  11. Fine point....I skimmed over the part where the bottom of the cylinder had a little removed...a .012 base gasket, if you can find one, in addition to what you have will put you right about where you need to be...IMO. A .020 won't hurt either...
  12. Good point... Need to point the users to the Sponsor Spotlight!!!
  13. DMC...I've been looking for quality chrome door handles to round out my truck, I have an 08 Laramie with all the chrome trim but it looks silly with the black door handles. Any idea where I can get some chrome door handles? My buddy has the stick on ones, but he flat out told me he's already had one or two come off on the freeway....any leads? Nice looking ride...BTW. I love black trucks...problem is keeping them clean!!
  14. So...is this guy stuck in your tire or something? LOL.. Good luck. Greg is the most anal person I know when it comes to his parts, if he says something is clean/etc., you can bet the house it is. Is this all that is left from your build? Damn shame it couldn't sell as a whole bike, it was flawless...good luck!
  15. Welcome Fireball... The forum software allows the site vendors to have their own page they can modify/edit to show their specials and showcase their own products...if Loco so chooses to use it. (Sorry if I threw you under the bus there Tyler...but it's a good feature) However it is a lot of work to setup on the forum admin side.
  16. I would ask Chariot which reeds fit his cages, he's a site sponsor. I'm 99% certain changing reeds will not fix your low end bog...unless you currently have a leak that putting a new set in seals up or the old petals are bad...in which case it'll normally show at high RPMs not low ones. It's either jetting, electrical or engine setup (air leak, combustion chamber inefficiency...etc.)
  17. To be honest, I've heard horror stories from Trinity cut domes. Once you start playing with base gasket thickness, you're messing with port timing as well. I would actually call a reputable builder and have them cut you a set of domes based on your measurements. You could always just slap a .012 gasket on there and call it a day, but I like knowing where my motor is... Now would be a good time to take the head off and degree it in, or at least see where it's at....
  18. Here's the reason I prefer the track over the dunes. Lights and timers don't lie....(well, most of the time). The dunes around here are who rolls the start and who keeps it pinned longer when it gets whooped out. Don't get me wrong...dunes are fun...but no one every won money or a trophy or set any records for dune racing, just too many inconsistencies.
  19. And I was one of those critics Jim, so again...My Apologies.
  20. Looks like I am the one eating crow here. And I apologize 100%. I got Sandtrax and Fasttracks mixed up. I thought it was the other way around, Sandtrax was the novice dyno tuner and Fasttracks was the guy that has been around in your area for quite some time (that I knew Andy @ M&M used as well as Nate...) So...for that I'm truly sorry. That's a good thing that Sandtrax and Fasttracks are getting similar results. Sandtrax is the known standard in that area... Again, my fault, 100%...and I apologize for the mixup.
  21. IMO...24HP from gas to meth is a stretch...however, ETs will show big time if so. The Peak HP from gas to meth is within the average of 5 to 10% improvement...
  22. Yep...higher temps and higher humidity is what I saw too. What I don't see is what correction factors were used. I know Jim has worked with this dyno before....results from the track and from a second dyno would really cement his case for the performance of these pipes. I agree...they look very, very promising!! I can't wait until they start putting out intakes and really get the whole thing tuned in!!
  23. So... Let me be objective here. You didn't change compression, dome design, timing, etc. for methanol, just plugs and fuel (and carbs/carb setup, obviously).. When are you going to take these to a track and get a handful of runs vs. other pipes to get a real world? Don't get me wrong, based on the dyno runs look promising. However.... In my opinion, they're not very valid. They're done 23 days apart....what about some back to back? Same temps, humidity, etc. Also...and again, this is just my opinion, not much is known about this sand trax dyno. There are other dynos in the area that are more known...aside from track time slips, a "second opinion" from a more known dyno would do your pipes justice...
  24. I knew the broad in his signature was a coverup... You knitting son of a bitch you....knit me a XXXL Cock sock for those cold mid western MI nights, will ya?
  25. Somebody better switch Jr. to light beer..lol.
