  1. That's Wesw He likes dudes. Can't help himself... Gotta admit, other than the homo couch buddy picture....chicks in that sig are smokin, I can't say I mind it.
  2. True Dat Andy. They redid their WHOLE website, it used to look like a 5th grader did it. Now it looks VERY nice. It says they're out of Lorena, TX. I know they did something out of MI at one time or another. I still think it's BS that ONLY Packard and FBG are distributors. That's like saying you can only go to two Ford Dealers in the country if you want to buy an F150.
  3. The way I've always initially set my idle screws are by looking at the back of the carb, once the idle screw makes contact I turn it in another 1.0 to 1.5 turns in. Hard to set the idle when you have to set the air screw first....but that's a pretty safe setting.
  4. That's where I ended up on mine, might have been 152 main... And where I rode was sea level to about 800 feet.
  5. I've got both and a 24 inch monitor. Doesn't make it any less annoying...
  6. They took the 96 and put is at 87 colors. If you look closely at the 96 and 87, it's the same bike and it has upper A Arm. We all know the 87 had J Arms. That being said...please, I'm a nit pick sometimes, don't take any offense to that. I think you did a phenomenal job to be commended. There's got to be a way to upload that to the site, FTP server, etc....
  7. Brugal...yep. That strategy he's had worked on everyone so far, obvious by his record. Add in the fact Lesnar's chin hasn't been tested. He's learned...next fight should be better.
  8. Yep, just casting flaws cleaned up by Jeff @ FAST. Race fuel, of course. I put 35PWK and inframe shearers on later, never dyno'd it again. Too much for a stock tranny and stock clutch (wouldn't shift for shit) in the dunes.
  9. 75 to 90. My 4 mil cub on gas with Vforce reeds, lots of timing and compression with stock carbs and T5 pipes pulled 85 HP.
  10. Without a doubt sticky. The only thing I found off at first glance is the color schemes...LOL. 87 had a red seat (and J arms) 96 had the black seat. I know...I"m a prick...LOL. Seriously, that took a TON of time I'm sure. I could do about 1/1000 of that in Excel, I'm terrible in it! I would like to have the actual file stickied and not have to go to the download site. You could get in trouble on that site if you clicked around.
  11. Possibly an old Superior sleeve motor? More pics of it disassembled would help.
  12. I suppose one day I won't be so lazy...LOL. I do have to tear it down again, maybe I'll just go to the store and get the small machine screws needed to make life easier...
  13. Absolutely my pleasure... I could increase the frequency to 3-4 times a day if you'd like. Really, it's no problem at all.
  14. Tough call. If you take a lot of weight off it...in my opinion, you should be ok. The lockups job is that it locks the clutch based on wheel speed and transmission speed. The problem with that is when you want to shift. And lets face it...if banshees shifted so well, over rides and all the other shift mod remedies would have never been invented. In my opinion...you may have a tough time shifting. But there are people that swear on using a lockup for trail/dune bikes that do not have an over ride and they shift fine.
  15. Yep...that's how I've done it. But I have an aftermarket cover. I have long primary springs...and it's kinda a PITA. But, not a deal breaker by any means. Kevin Gigot gave me a great deal to try one and I've left it on since, it works!
  16. I've run both...they work. I believe the slingshot has more holding power for the bigger motors. The drawback of the slingshot is you have to be careful when removing it so the ball bearings don't go all over. Mine has two set screws that hold both plates together so this doesn't happen. But I'll be damned if I haven't lost those screws the day I installed it...LOL. Get whichever fits your budget better. They both work.
  17. You said you were stuck on the part where you're supposed to picture your lungs feeding 280 pounds. I was merely trying to help with a visual for you...which, I found quite satisfying I might add, and funny.
  18. Well...two sides of that coin. Lesnar's chin was never really tested...before Carwin. And Carwin has knocked out everyone... So I get his game plan...and he got served up his first loss because of it. No such thing as an undefeated champ in MMA...they've all been beat...at one time or another. That's one of the reasons we watch it...at any time anything can happen. Now that he knows Lesnar has a chin....you bet he'll work on his cardio a little more, he'll always have knockout sledge hammer fists. I'd like to know what each of these guys weigh on the street when they're not cutting for a fight. Clearly, they both laugh at 265 lbs.
  19. Talk to HJR...they do a tranny mod which is NOT an override but it does make things easier to shift....You still use the clutch but it will shift better. Porting, compression, timing and getting the power to the ground is where you'll need to concentrate. I know that's general...but it's a starting point.
  20. This is going to be one opened ended answer..but I'm going to try my best...LOL. You have to decide if you want a drag bike you can dune or a dune bike you can drag. You can't have both. One or the other has to prevail. And based on that choice...you have to make sacrifices towards the other. No such thing as an all in one banshee...or other bike for that matter...LOL.
  21. Picture a cop with one foot on your neck and his gun pointed at you telling you to STFU... Does that help?
  22. First question is do you have the equipment at your disposal to make chassis parts and weld? Lighten that fat pig up first...if you have chassis building experience, cut it up and clean it up. 3K is a decent starting budget. Get the porting done, get an override trans and a lockup clutch. That's your starting point, then spend the rest of the money on gearing and tires.
  23. So people don't have to scroll down through the large picture... It's a courtesy thing, like not typing in all CAPS for example.
  24. Looks good Brian... Someone is bound to give you shit for the Trinity sticker...you know that...LOL. I've very happy with my metal tech arm as well...they do make nice stuff..(no offense Tim, you know you're the man!!) I was wondering why you didn't cut the up tubes like most do, but for pavement I agree...good idea. Lots more flex on a hard surface! Good to see you back at it again...one of these days I'll meet up with your partner in crime, Tedder...
