  1. Dayum....one of the OGs of the HQ...wow. Hope you're doing well Rodney....
  2. I've already got a set for you to try...and I have different ID and length stinger tubes as well!
  3. Thanks J... but the buck tooth hill billies I have running my local O Rileys couldn't find batteries for a flash light. I order mine through my buddy that owns and operates Richards Auto Parts. He's a friend and fellow racer....good guy.
  4. It would've been even nicer to drive around in a HUGE beater truck/car and hit them from the side at about 50MPH and watch them try to run...
  5. I learned that one a long time ago. Tighten the plug in the motor, then take some pliers/vice grips and give the tip of the spark plug a little tap to tighten it. Nothing worse than breaking up for something silly like that.
  6. Couldn't agree more George... I work for my shit....get a fucking job if you want something similar scum bag!!
  7. Gotcha...we're neighbors.. I'm in St. Clair Shores...
  8. Eastpointe borders Dtoilet. He lives 2 miles from the border...and trust me, Eastpointe is getting scarier and scarier. I know he feels better that my stuff is returned, but I'd gladly trade places with him, Fuck the cases, I wish they just stole it, ran it out of gas...then left it as was. Wishful thinking....
  9. Getting my cases back. Police found the Jeep yesterday, in the Ghetto... Both bowling balls, my cases, CDs, etc. were still in the car. All 5 tires, stereo, amp, kicker...all gone. He said they used another car to ram both sides of the car repeatedly, the police said they've been getting more and more cars like that in lately. Jeep is beyond totaled, but my parts were inside...feel sorry for my bud. Anyone in the Detroit area selling a mid 2000s Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty or similar mid sized SUV in good shape with reasonable miles hit me up.... Thanks for all the eyes out guys...
  10. I'll find out later today if I get them back the easy way. The local police called my buddy last night, they found his Jeep in the Ghetto. It was too late for him to see it at the police impound yesterday, he's going to look at it today after work. The only thing they told him was heavy driver, passenger and rear damage, ignition lock/key damage and two tires missing. He had a nice stereo that I'm sure is gone. The two bowling balls I'm sure ended up in someone's car via a broken window. They don't know what the hell my cases were, I might get lucky....but I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure my buddy is going to take pics, I'll post them up...
  11. Thanks Kev... it's too bad they weren't on the way to you. They were filthy (dirt/mud) and I didn't want to send them to you that way. My buddy has a solvent tank at work. It's cold here, a power washer outside just didn't sound very appealing...

    FUEL PUMP

Yep...also called emulsion tubes. I am not VERY familiar with Mikunis, so I couldn't tell you what to drill the tube and main out to, but .132 is WAY too big IMO. Make sure the needle and seat is correct for a fuel pump as well.
  13. Thanks Guys, I appreciate it. It's really not a big deal to me. A few hundo for another set of case isn't a huge deal. Not like I'm in any hurry to redo the motor for this year, we're about to get dumped on with snow. I feel bad for my buddy. He's had his Liberty since new, taken care of it, low miles, just put 700 in new tires AND put 75 in a new plate on it. He keeps it tuned up, running good, etc. I think he owed about 4900 on it still. Going by blue book, insurance should pay it off and give him a few extra bucks. However....now, for that price range, he's stuck buying a used vehicle that he knows nothing about....with no warranty. That's the shitty part about it, and I feel bad for him. He's the kinda guy who would give you the shirt off his back and not expect anything in return. If I could locate these cases, maybe it'll point back to the thief. I know, probably wishful thinking on my end...but you never know. Thanks for any and all help guys...I do appreciate it.
  14. Hi all...rather than retype, here you go. Thank you... http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=139755&pid=1206852&st=0entry1206852

    FUEL PUMP

Simple...yes. Put fuel pump needle and seats in the carbs, they are smaller than gravity fed. Unless you've done that, they're going to pour fuel, especially with the DF62 pump you're using there...it pushes 65L per hour of fuel. And run a longer pulse line as well.
  16. A buddy of mine had my freshly trenched cases in his Jeep yesterday when it got stolen from his driveway. They were in a box in the back of the Jeep, he was cleaning them in a solvent tank for me. He lives in Eastpointe, 10 and Gratiot area. I can identify them by sight...if you see anything on Craigslist or ebay, etc., please let me know... I appreciate it. Dave
  17. I love the twin exhaust center exit. It always reminds me of a Ducati bike when I see that. Those SRT8 Jeeps are no joke, that's fo sho!! You gotta tint both passenger and driver windows in anything now a days...all the other windows are tinted and it just looks gay otherwise. I'll race you with my 08 Dodge Hemi Tyler...any place, any time. The only catch is you have to put 10 sheets of plywood and 10 sheets of drywall with 20 2X4s and you can't use a trailer. Ready, Set, Go!!! LOL.
  18. Get a competent welder to weld the pipe seams with stainless rod. I had my Shearer OOF drag pipes split the seam 3 times on the top pipe and once on the bottom pipe. My bro in law and father have owned a weld shop for over 40 years...they welded the complete seam nose to tail with stainless and haven't had an issue since. I have a set of Sniper Out of frame pipes now and I can tell you the quality, fit and attention to detail is nicer than any set of shearer or CPI pipes I've ever seen. Gary makes a very, very nice pipe.
  19. Take off the carbs and exhaust and do a leak down test on it.
  20. I gap a bunch of plugs before a day at the track, normally 3-4 sets just to have on hand. I put mine in a vise and close them shut, then open them up to .018 to .020. I have run mine out of the box and have broken up on top end....and my ignition is solid, not real aggressive on the timing (7 I think...lol) or compression.
  21. Makes it easier to rotate the filter if you have to clear the frame, exhaust, etc. It makes them point parallel to the back of the bike instead of straight up in the air in conjunction with the angle of the carb.
  22. There is no way in hell you or he (the guy you're building it for) should be eating shipping on this...clearly it's not your fault. I'd be returning it in favor of a hot rod or better quality crank, period.
  23. I can tell you first hand...on my 10 mil cub, no. That being said, I run 300 foot. I can see where on a bigger motor or perhaps one on a longer run it might gain them a little time, if any...with more surface area to pull air in. I like them because they do last longer between cleanings, etc... I have a velcro strap and/or a zip tie around the subframe supporting the weight of them, sooner or later they will product an air leak at the intake with all that extra weight, IMO. Racing on sand/dirt/paddle tracks, I don't even use outerwears, I think you'll find a majority of the drag racers don't use outerwears.
