T.O.R.S. Removal Kit Installed, Starting Trouble

I just checked and there's NO spark :-/ I'm kinda lost .... -
Hey guys how's it going? I'm looking for some trouble shooting help here on the Forums. I have an 01 Banshee that I've had since I bought it from the Dealership years ago so I am the original owner. About a year and 3 months ago my top end went so I decided to replace it. I replaced it and got it installed, bike started right up and ran great until 3/4 throttle and had a slight bog so I decided to get into my Haynes manual and on the HQ here to figure it out. Well as I was working on my carbs with the STUPID TORS system one of the knobs on the top snapped as I was working with it so I gave up on the bike for a few months and decided I was going to buy a TORS Removal kit. Well unfortunately I got locked up for a little while and missed my whole dune season last year :[. Just last week I ordered a TORS Removal Kit and it got here yesterday. I've been working since earlier this morning on the thing and I cant get it to start. I've got the idles tapped, drilled, and installed, throttle line installed, carb caps installed, and all the old TORS stuff cut and snipped off. I replaced the Oil, Plugs, and did a little cleaning in the engine. I have my key ON, Switch ON, and it still won't start. I kicked about 45 times and it sounds like there's an electrical problem not letting it start, I was thinking something I cut on the TORS lines did it. I pulled it behind my truck thinking a 5 mph pull start might help but still nothing....I'm going to check the spark right now and go from there but any help would be appreciated. Like I said I believe its electrical and im considering taking off ALL TORS connections and Key connections. If you guys need pictures for a more clear understanding let me know.

Chargers > Saints Chargers are one hell of a team this year.

Thanks BigRed, I just want to do this all the right way seeing how this is the 2nd BIG screw up on this quad trusting my step dad. I wasnt going to port n polish but since I am pulling the cylinders I didnt see why not to. I plan on this being a 6-8 week project so that I can get the cash together and after that I was going to look for a shop or mechanic to help fine tune the bike. I go to the dunes and am honestly upset when I see a pack of Shee's all running the hills and im stuck on some 4Fiddy. Ill keep doing my homework for about another week, and find out what shipping costs are going to be and chances are im going to go through some people here @ the HQ.

I called a local performance shop and its going to cost me over $750 to fix my ride. Top end went and I found out that my step dad installed the dome on the left cylinder incorrect and now Tom @ Pro Design is going to help me out w/ the head and dome issue but local performance shop wants $80 per bore and hone on each cylinder, $175 for a port n polish per cylinder, and $200 for pistons, rings, gaskets etc.... So I did the math $160 Boring/Honing $350 Dune/Play Port $200 Pistons, rings, gaskets and probably another $150+ to get my coolhead replaced. Im not going to give up on this damn Banshee, its been plagued with bullshit since my last rebuild but here goes another $1,000 in work and im gonna do my best to get it right this time. I know some of you are going to refer other places for port work but I trust this guy, ive seen 2 of the bikes he's built and rode 1 and I have yet to ride something like it. If I get a camera ill try and put some pics of the damage until then I want to thank everyone here @ the HQ that has and is going to help me :]

Ditto, I own white boots and now they're dirt faded and sand beat
-
Yes thats exactly what im talking about, it bent over the dome and now the dome wont come out and it messed the head and piston up.
-
Well I rebuilt my quad last season and piped it and it ran great all season. Christmas came around and I got a Pro Design cool head w/ 21cc domes and the bike ran well till about june. Me and my step dad pulled the head and it happens that the little U shape on the head bent and screwed up the dome and it chipped the hell out of my piston, head, and scratches on the cylinder. I was hoping to ride it this Halloween but thats not going to happen but thanksgiving is right around the corner. While I have the cylinders off I want to get them ported & polished hoping that it will take the scratches off the cylinder or do I have to bore then port n polish? and does Pro Design have a warranty on heads and domes because I doubt this head is repairable and I dont want to risk it? If I get a camera I will put up pictures to be more descriptive and what do you guys suggest for a porting company? I want someone thats more west coast.

Well do to the fact that my quad was named before I got it, its named Cloey (CLO-E) Why my step dad let my mom choose the name I dont know....

Choke tube as in the choke itself? It wont even idle with the choke all the way out.
-
Well I used the knowledge that I got here on the site and got my bike running good but my bike doesnt want to idle and im lookin for a little help. Temp: 75-85 degrees Elevation: 2100 ft Ratio : 32:1 Pilot : 25 Main : 280 Needle : 4th groove Air/fuel screw: 1.5 turns out Just trying to get my bike running tip top for Dumont on Halloween.

Well I have Toomey T6's w/ K&N Filter w/ all the recommended settings beside 280's (I put 270's in after head). I went to Dumont Thanksgiving weekend 2005 and I was running rich so I decided to try 270's and I got them in and put gas in (32:1 is my ratio) and ran it up my street 3-4 times and my floats out of no-where have decided to stick but right before my float issue it ran okay (or just let all of my gas out of the overflow tubes). Before the float issue I got a good 4 rides and and the bike felt fine just a tad bit on the hot side so I figured I was a little lean. Im going to a local stealership in the next 2 weeks to pick up some 275's and try them. All my settings should be Toomey recommendations (270 Main Jets, 25 Pilots, 1.5 turns out on airscrew, 4th groove on needle.) I havent gotten the idle set and cant start the bike without pull starting it. I know the floats need to be at 21mm and I thank my Clymers manual for that but what do I need to do exactly to get my jetting correct and get my idle set. Ive read much up on here over the past year and I dont want to waste $100 on some fool to get my jetting done when I can do it myself with a little help from you guys. If you need any more info let me know.
