Trexs dont make shit for power compared to a cub till yo u get up around 205 ex timing which is incredibly high and most builders dont port them like that except a few shops fro m what ive heard, so id say go with K&t on a Trex,thewy have ported a shit load, cause thats what the hardcore drag guys at planet sand recommend for them and also your gonna need a pipe that will make some very high revs too match your port durations like maybe a big bore shearer or grand river suicides to hit the high notes on that port.

sounds to me like you need a 28/30mm carbs .unless you got a high -rev dune port and pretty high compression w /inframe drag pipes then id get 33 pwks or 34mm carbs

this is a sad day for 2 stroke fans IMO. it only takes a free flowing silencer to really wake up a bottled 4 poke, they all gain dam n near the same anyways, so its really no revolutionary design a 2 stroke pipe is much much more involved however

shearers arent as forgiving as the cpi are o n your port timing ,but the shearers do outperform them most of the time from my understanding and my seat of the pants of my shearers definitly makes some awesome power IMO. t5 arent even in the same league as the other 2 are on a ported motor . go with the shearers

going big bore never repalces good high quality porting o n a 2 stroke(especially one with archaic port work) thats why some of the fastest bikes are 350's or small 4mills, smaller the smaller the displacement,the faster you ca n get those pistons pumpin high-ass rpms. the 409 needs porting and plenty of it t obe quick ,i would run 34 tm flatslides or 33-35 pwks if it were me . your likely down on topend power due to the stock carbs restricting flow to each 204cc cylinder IMO :cheers:power is all in the porting!

thats right the stock clamps that fit the stinger to the mid pipe(last clamp i nthe line toward the ass of the bike. has asbestos coated orange gauze like material. willing to send out cash$$$$$$ pronto

i fail to see much market for 699$ pipes either,... not when you can have a custom personalized set made for your exact porting specs of your motors timing for even less$$$$, ill agree stainless would be sweet though. what is so significant about trinity porting that makes your stage 17 pipes superior i n comparison to other pipes? most builders use similar port timing numbers and motor specs.

i actually know a gu ywho has ridden one, he claims it was very lacking on the bottom end for a 686 cc displacement but had nice pronounced midrange torque ,not nearly as quick as he though t it should be though and chassis setup wasnt s ohot either , i bet whe n these become popular all the big hop-up companys are gonna make aftermarket efi chips for them and lure lots of suckers in s othey can redline @5500 instead of 5399 the thing is only a 4 valve now and has a massive heavy piston ,it already couldnt rev ,so lets make it even bigger and slower and really turn it into a slug all the fancy aluminum frame improvements dont drop the weight any compared to the old 660's rapterds.
