  1. Well I jumped, spent 600 for his wicked arms and brake lines and tie rods, also got his works tripple rates with resevoirs, he just had tcs go through and rebuild them about 10 months ago. We will see how it goes. Can I powdercoat the springs without hurting them? They are a little dinged.
  2. I am debating on whether to buy the YFZ450 shocks or spend the extra coin on some nicer ones. YFZ shocks seem to be about 200-250. I found remote rezzi triple works rebuilt by tcs for 330. Am I going to see that much of a difference in the perfromance? I woul think I would but this build is on a budget so I am scrimping where I can. I am not a greta rider or anything, just working my way up and doing the best I can. I mostly ride dunes, and jump but not too far. Thanks for any help!!!
  3. Sorry, I have a couple of questions on the shocks, they are just the fronts!!

  5. I have first off a 3 piece billet stator cover, it has been on my bike a season, looks great, has a scuff on it and could be brightened up a little - $150 The pic for the cover shows a water pump and clutch cover, I dont have those, the covers for the throttle and brake are available - $30 for both I have all four front arms, they are nicely chromed and the uppers have been modified by H&S customs to have adjustable heims at the spindle end, look great, stronger then stock and adjustable - $300 I also have a low hour 2004 crank, not welded, the bike has never been apart, can still see hones in the cylinders, cranks is perfect - $100 http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l270/kid...er/DSC03898.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l270/kid...er/DSC03896.jpg http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l270/kidkrawler/cover.jpg
  6. Do you still have these? If so, what is the valving on them, also are they for stock length arms? Thanks Mike
  7. All of this sold while the site was down, pm me the details of your crank, I am nervous about finding a used one but will consider it!!
  8. Site is back up!! Everything still for sale!!! I will get pics up soon, let me know if you have any questions
  9. These are unstamped cpi's, the expansion chambers are in great shape, the chrome is perfect, the only issue is a mount broke and a new one has been welded on, it is not chromed. I didnt even notice this till my buddy needed me to tear his top end down because it was bolted behind the billet mounts on the bike. The silencers are from toomeys, they are in nice shape and have been tweaked to exit under the tail right next to eachother. They can be left like that or tweaked again to fit back where they normally do, I like how they look where they are at, I will get pics posted today!!!! $300 plus shipping!!! Also selling chrome +4 swinger, K&T welded and trued crank, K&T drag cylinders Looking for hotrods 4 mm stroker crank, stock no porting no bored cylinders, open to trades!!!
  10. I would expect to pay about 150 for clean stock cylinders and then the difference of 250 for mine and I would do that trade. Let me know what you have or make me an offer!!!
  11. Iam helping sellsome stuff for a buddy. He is looking to build a duner so his drag stuff is going. Cylinders have a full K&T drag port job, done last year with new pistons. He thinks .030 over. He would like $400 for them, or trade for bone stock cylinders and some cash. Runs awesome and hits hard. Has a trued and welded crank done by K&T he would like $150 for it Also has a chrome +4 swinger, not sure on the brand I will get some pics, he would like $150f for it. Any questions let me know!! Possible trades for cases, 4mm hot rod crank, need complete gasket sets, that about it!!
  12. I looked it over pretty well and probably got a decent deal but I am just annoyed with the whole situation. I called the guy last nite and he now is saying that when the bike was endoed the frame got bent. So the guy who did it bought him a new frame from yamaha. Is there any markings on a frame from yami to identify it with? Before he told me it got endoed and the tail got bent, that is why it had the changed rear bars. Now I call him out on it he changes things up, he said he knew the case was broke but it didnt hurt it so he didnt mention it. He also said the bike was yellow and black stock, I said where the black paint on the plastics was worn down they were blue. He changed his story again. It is cool, its a nice bike, but the kid could have been a little more upfront, it also feels like it has a bent shift fork, I doubt the engine is an 05.
  13. I just bought an 05. Everything seemed legit yesterday but today things are looking fishy. I paid 3800 for it, kt motor, cpi's, bigger carbs, extended rear. I want a dune bike but figured I could sell the drag cylinders and make a stroker like my last bike. I went and rode it today, immediately noticed the rear of the case was broke above the chain, didnt hurt anything but I wished the guy would have pointed it out. Also the frame doesnt have the uprights in front of the motor, they are gone. The rear frame is not a stock banshee it is welded on chromoly like one of those kits. The biggest issue is the vin, it is titled as an 05, but the vin is Utah state issued and 8 digits long. Where do I scrape through the powdercoat and find the yami vin at? Also can I trace the motor origin? It has 2GU-004134 on it. I am just trying to see if I am ok on this or not. It is a nice bike and likely worth the price but he assured me it was all 05. Thanks for any help!!!
  14. Hey I have sent you a couple of pm's on this and havent heard back? I would like to speak with you about it, pm me a number or something Mike

  16. Thats why this site is so great, tons of good info guys thanks a ton, I saw those custom creation arms in the images section and they look to be gusseted and strong and of course trick looking, I think i found there website but it is pretty un-informative, anyone know how much they run or a way to contact them?
  17. Well my front arms have been bent to hell and my shocks are binding so I want to buy arms and shocks but I don't know what to get, do all dune riding and like to jump and want to get better and higher but also run up the mt for fun when im bored. I'm already plus two in the rear so im thinking move the fronts out 2 and maybe up one, I see wicked products, asr, lonestar, laeger, sanddragon but you read their quality statements and they dont tell me much, want to spend 700-1000 bucks for arms and shocks can anyone give me any suggestions? Are works decent or do you need to fork out for elkas? I weigh like 210 and am thinking just a dual rate, and what should I do about a blown rear, have it built, or replace it? Thanks for any suggestions, I just dont want to buy and regret...
  18. I has an 02 r6 last year, my drivers record is shit and it was 3800 a year for insurance, we stuck it under my dads name and it was still 200 a month, this year i have an 05 shadow and pay 18 a month for full coverage under my dads name, comparatively one of my roomates has a 600rr and pays 350 a month
  19. I have searched the web for a 400ex site and can not locate one so if you can help with a 400ex issue, please read on, My buddy bought a 2000 from a cousin and brought it to utah from arizona, it was obvious there was a performance problem (wouldnt pull hills, no low end) so we did what any banshee owner would do, tore the shit down, what we found is the valves were leaking badly but the piston and the cylinder walls looked great (supposedly fresh with a big bore kit?). He took the head to the local shop and they redid the seats, replaced the valves and the springs and bought a hot cam. Now, I didnt really help assemble the bike but it now starts and runs and has terrible rocker clatter, when you pull the inspection ports on the tops of the valve cover, the exhaust valve rocker arms are always tight with the top of the valve, or within the few thousandths of clearance the clymers inidcates it should have so they are normal, however the intake rockers can be picked up and down about 3/16 of an inch until the lobes come around and open the valve, so the clatter is the arms flailing about in the engine, also due to this we can not see anyway to accurately set the valve lash because the rockers are only tight when the valve is open, the clymer states to rotate the engine to top dead center and try wiggling the rockers up and down, if they barely move, all the valves are shut and the lash may be set, if 2 move and two are tight, TDC has not been achieved, well we can rotate the engine and count the firing sequence, and when TDC IS achieved, the exhaust valves are good to be set but the intakes can be picked up and down that 3/16 that was mentioned earlier, as a note the decompressor thingy has been removed due to the aftermarket cam, and the bike still runs like ass!! Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, we havent torn it back down but i will to check assembly, but when it was assembled the two that did it are very competent and had a book so we have no idea what to be checking thanks for any opinions!!!
  20. Yeah i measured frames when i had my trinity's before i called and asked if it was possible the pipes were bent up wrong, i pulled my cpi's and of course there were no jug seals, took some advice from the forum and sealed them up, work great
