  1. If you run it without the spacer, the bearings won't last long. The spacer is there to prevent the side load on the bearing, from tearing them apart. The spacer has to be positioned properly, on the centers of the bearings, or things won't go together right. If that wasn't the problem, then maybe there is some rust, or other crap on one end of the spacer, that is causing things to bind up, when it's all assembled.
  2. Check the pick-up coil gap, it should be .015-.020. Replace the spark plug boots, and trim about 1/8"-1/4" off of each wire before installing the new boots.
  3. I think you'll be wanting better pipes. It will run ok with the FMF's, just not as good as it would, with a set of inframe drag pipes.
  4. Pilot jets are too big. Try some 27.5's, and some 30's. Adjust air screws as needed.
  5. Voltage regulator is for the lights only.
  6. FAST Racing has a great clutch, and many people on this site run it. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=34
  7. Stock carbs are 26mm, and unless you have a huge cc motor, that is way too much carb. They are also round slides, which aren't the best. I've got a stock cylinder 4 mil, and these are what I'm using. They perform better, and are quite a bit cheaper, than the ones you found. http://www.amazon.com/Mikuni-TMX-Flat-Valve-Carb/dp/B000GV2D7G
  8. You can find the G-Force axle at Rocky Mountain ATV, and it's now a Tusk axle. Same axle, just a different name. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/53/173/733/1685/-/811514/
  9. Check the screens in the tank, on the fuel shut off. Also, make sure that your vent hose isn't blocked. If the steering stem is full of water, and the end of the hose is in the water, the tank will not vent properly.
  10. Replace the spark plug boots. They do go bad, and it's a cheap, and easy repair.
  11. If you get tired of changing out the a arm bushings, you can get some needle bearings for them, from Pivot Works. Yeah, they are a bit pricey, but that's what I did several years back.
  12. No matter what you say, anything with Microsoft in the name, is total SHIT, in my book. I agree that no one program will do it all, and I never said that, you accused me of saying it. You keep bringing up, "safe browsing habits", and fail to realize that many people have kids, or aren't real computer savvy, so they tend to use free crap, like AVG, MSE, and so on. The hackers target the stuff that gets used the most, which ends up being Norton, McAfee, and the free stuff.
  13. I've fixed several computers that had Microsoft Security Essentials on them, and it didn't work good enough, to remove the infections that were on them. All of the free antivirus softwares, are the first ones the hackers target, when they come out with new malware/trojans. I've tried all of the free ones, and I don't really think any of them, are that great.
  14. I've used ESET NOD32 antivirus for many years now, and it's been a great program. It scans everything as it's coming in, and as it goes out. If it detects anything bad, it will kill the connection, and quarantine the files, before they have a chance to infect your computer. It's light weight, and fast. A 2 year license is around $55. Here's the link. http://www.eset.com/us/download/home/detail/family/2/
  15. Loud only means one thing, NOISE. Get that through your thick assed skull. Loud doesn't mean fast. Part of owning a quad is being responsible, and not getting more people complaining, because you are making too much noise , or tearing up other people's shit. Now, if you want to be "dumber than dirt", and run no silencers, then go right ahead, but don't come on here bitching, when someone takes offense to it, and decides to call the law on you, or bash your stupid face in, or tear up your unbearably loud POS quad.
  16. Dual stock carbs aren't a pain in the ass, if you have them set up with a TORS delete. Many have ran them, so getting them jetted right is very easy.
  17. Mine were pig rich with the Q2's, so I bought the Q0's, and it runs great now.
  18. What do the plugs look like? Current jetting?
  19. Hard starting issues are a sign that it's too lean on the pilot, or your air mixture screws are open more than they should be. What size pilot jets are in the carbs?
  20. We have our quads insured by State Farm, but then again, everything we have is insured by them. Last I knew, they wouldn't insure quads, by themselves.
  21. Put new plug boots on it. They are cheap, and it's an easy thing to do, just to make sure those aren't the problem.
  22. How many turns open are your air mixture screws, and are both of them the same number of turns open? Did you pull the pilot jets out of the carbs, and make sure they are 100% clean?
