  1. Here is the number;Jeff @1-785-364-5325.
  2. Get a Magnum basket and a Fast Racing Clutch. End of problem. Contact Jeff @1-785-364-5325. Cheaper than a Hinson basket and Trinity clutch, and will outlast both.
  3. You can order the clamps from Cascade.
  4. I have ran, in the past, the following; stock ported cages with boyesen reeds, FMF Ram Valves, and now V-Force 2's. The Ram Valves were better than the stock cages, and the V-Force 2's beat both of them, hands down. Nothing beats the V-Force, IMHO.
  5. Since you live in Kansas, give Bontrager Powder Coating in Hutchinson, Kansas a call. I've had them do some parts, and a friend had his whole frame done. I think it cost him about $350, and that included swinger, a-arms, pegs, steering stem, basically the whole chassis.
  6. The V-Force 2's are adjustable for tension. They have a low setting and a high setting. The V-Force 3's aren't adjustable. They come pre-set from the factory, and there is no way to adjust them. I have the 2's, and I've always left them on the high setting. I'm not sure, but I think the 3's are on the high setting. Maybe someone running the 3's could chime in. I've had the 2's, almost since they came out, and I just changed the reeds for the first time, this last week. The carbon fiber seems to hold out for a long time, well at least the V-Force carbons do. Just my .02, get V-Forces, you won't be disappointed.
  7. I run 14/40 gearing on a stock swinger, and I run the stock length chain, which is a 104 link chain.
  8. If you are going to split the cases, and you want to mod it even further, then a 4 mil stroker, 5 mil long rod crank, would be a great mod.
  9. I have a set of 20cc's, that I just took off. They are for sale, if you need them.
  10. That's the correct kit. I use a dead blow, because it's a little more forgiving. You can use a ball pean or a claw hammer, just be very carefull, and make sure you get the bearing started straight.
  11. I've heard, from several different people, that the stock HP is anywhere from 35-40. It varies a little bit, from bike to bike.
  12. You can find the bearing kit on Ebay, or contact Jeff at Fast Racing. You can PM him here, or call, 1-785-364-5325. I used a dead blow hammer, and a socket, the same size as the bearing, to put the bearings in. Just take your time, when installing the bearings. It's pretty easy and fast. Might be a good time to replace the axle bearings and seals, if they are bad.
  13. You'll need to purchase a swing arm pivot bearing kit, because it's doubtful, that you can remove the ones from your old swinger, without damaging them.
  14. I just ripped his a$$ also!! Told him he was dreaming, about the performance numbers, and especially about his BIN price. I'll see what kind of response I get, and I'll post it. Outta be good for a few more laughs. What a lyin' douche bag, this seller is!
  15. One of the best things that you can do, is get yourself a Clymer's manual. Borrow one from a friend or buy one. They are only about $30-$35, and it will be the best money you've spent on your Banshee.
  16. Replace the gaskets. You need to have a gasket on the back side and front side of the reed cages. I have run the V-Force's for years, and I've never had this problem, but I used a gasket between the reed cage and the cylinder, and the reed cage and the intake, on each side.
  17. We've got everything insured by State Farm. My Banshee is covered for theft, fire, natural disater, crash damage, etc., and it costs about $15.50 per month. It will also pay $1000, on medical bills, if I get hurt riding it.
  18. Try replacing the spark plug boots. They just screw into the end of the plug wires. Be sure and trim the wires back a little bit, before installing the new boots.
  19. Shoot some panther piss in both sides, like WD-40, and let it set, then beat the shit out of it again. Sounds like it's probably rusted in place. If you have the swingarm out, you can put some diesel in a big pan, and stick the bolt end in the pan and let it soak. Might take a few hours or a few days, but I'm sure you're gonna have to get a BFH, and beat the crap out of it some more.
  20. You can use the Klotz nitro additive. It's actually nitro-propane, so it mixes with gas or alky.
  21. Depending on other mods, sometimes a different reed setup, will require a rejet. Some reeds will flow more fuel, creating a rich condition. Just put them in, run it, and see. When I added the V-Force 2's, it made the mid-range too rich, and I had to adjust the needle down one notch, i.e. I raised the clip.
  22. Either buy a torque wrench, or rent one. If you have a parts strore around, like O'Reilly's, you can rent a torque wrench for a minimal cost. If you don't rent or buy a torque wrench, you can always use the "Redneck Torque Spec", which is tighten the nut or bolt, until it strips, then back it off a 1/4 turn. Works everytime. JK.
  23. You could have water in the gas, which will clog the jets, or you could have plugged the pilot jets. Take the carbs off, remove the bowls, take the main jet and pilot jet out of each carb, and spray them out with carb cleaner, then put them back in. The backfiring probably caused the air cleaner to get soaked with gas. Also check the reeds as mentioned before. 1.5-2 turns out on the air mixture screws. Set both of them the same.
  24. Congrats, and you and your wife just got the greatest gift of all, a healthy child. Enjoy!
