  1. A YZ 250 clutch lever and perch, works great, and is not real expensive.
  2. The only thing bad about black, is they show every little scratch, and get nasty looking real quick, if you're not careful.
  3. Try new springs, and a new pipe O-ring.
  4. No, you won't need to rejet. Everyone here has recommended the Noss head, for people looking to go that route. PM dlnoss, and he will answer your question about, what size domes to run.
  5. No, you can't use the stock reeds. I believe it's TDR, that makes the one piece reeds, for the ported stock cages. Someone correct me, if I'm wrong.
  6. It's possible that your carbs are too lean on the pilot circuit, and someone already mentioned cleaning the pilot jets, but your air mixture screws could be turned out too far, also.
  7. I run the needle bearings in my a-arms, and they work great, but then are fairly expensive. They cost about $200, for the bearings for all 4 arms. I used a vise to push mine in, and they went in fairly easy. No grinding or other mods, to get them in.
  8. Another big problem is all of the protests, over immigration. If you're not a legal citizen of the US, you aren't protected by the Bill of Rights. Basically, if you're here illegally, you really don't have any rights. Why are some of the legal Mexicans supporting the illegals? The legal Mexicans should be more upset about it, than anyone else. After all, the legals went through all of the trouble to do things right, and the illegals have done most everything wrong! Compare Mexico's policy on illegal immigrants to the US policy. Mexico's policy is, when a illegal is caught, they are put into a prison for 2-2 1/2 years, and then they are shipped back to where they came from. Some of the illegals in Mexico, get even worse treatment, such as being raped, tortured, beaten, or even worse, and then put in prison. The US policy is, when an illegal is caught, they are taken somewhere, feed, and shipped back across the border. It's nothing more than a slap on the wrist, so what is to keep them from coming back? If the US would have a policy, similar to Mexico's, on illegals, we wouldn't have as many coming across, because our prisons would be at max capacity, which would cost us more tax dollars. Build a wall, similar to the one that used to be in Berlin, and that'll end a lot of the problems. Put a Bradley fighting vehicle with quad mount .50's on it, about every mile along the border, and see if that don't slow them down. PS I'm not full of hate, or racist. I have several good friends that are LEGALS, and they are pissed at the illegals, also.
  9. The guy obviously drank himself, retarded.
  10. Pull the right carb, and clean it real good. Sounds like your pilot jet is plugged, partially or completely. Take out the pilot, spray some carb cleaner in it, and blow it out with some compressed air. Make sure both air mixture screws are turned out the same number of turns, also.
  11. I've got a set of the fronts, but the only thing I've had to compare them to, is the stock fronts. IMO, they are a excellent tire that is cheaper than most of the other brands.
  12. On my second set of silencers, I ended up drilling out the mounting hole on both silencers, so that I could move the left one up, and the right one down. I never had these kind of problems, with my set of FMF's. It really doesn't matter how good the chrome on the pipes are, because if the silencers fit like the one's I got from CPI, they will still look like shit. They look like Cross-eyed Jr. welded up the CPI silencers.
  13. That is what my first set of silencers looked like, but I sent them back, and got a new set. The installation of the second set looks better, but it still involved some adjusting, and a lot of blood, sweat, and cussing.
  14. Good question, and if I knew the answer, I wouldn't have had trouble with mine. I guess try calling CPI directly, and mention to them, that their quality is shit, and see if they will make any guarantees. If I would have known that I was going to have problems ahead of time, I would have bought Shearer's, Rockets, GRR's, or anything but CPI's.
  15. Seems like the bottom line is, CPI needs to implement some quality control, so they don't have such a large amount of variations, in their pipes and silencers.
  16. Check Ebay for a radiator, or PM Fastoys. Get the pipes and air filter first, and if you are going to run the air box, get a Pro-Design plate for the air filter. The stock set up, will only cause you lots of grief.
  17. Send that POS set of pipes back to CPI, and raise Hell daily, until you get your new ones back. Tell them that you are going to turn them in to the BBB, and the attorney general, from the state you live in, for making and selling a POS product. I had trouble with a set of silencers, and had to send them back, so I could get them replaced. Seems like all that CPI is interested in anymore, is quantity, and not quality. Here's their phone number (801) 829-5877.
  18. I wear soft contacts while riding, but I always wear googles or sun glasses. Never have had any problems, but you need to take them out a clean them real good, each night.
  19. Go out a buy a Clymer's manual, because it has step by step instructions, with pics. They are very helpful to have.
  20. Take out a few liberal hippy types, while you're at it. Don't waste your time field dressing them. Good luck.
  21. I had a set of FMF Fatties, and I rode everything from trails, and mud, to sand dunes, and they performed great. I ran FMF's for almost 10 years, before buying CPI's, and I never had a problem or complaint with them.
  22. To make a 4 mil run to its potential, you are going to have to spend some money. Bigger carbs, porting etc. It will still run with what you have, but not as good as it should. Like has already been stated by Locogato, if you install the 4mil crank, without porting the cylinders, you are basically shooting yourself in the foot. Just my .02.
  23. Very good increase in torque, but your HP is going to depend on, what pipes, reeds, carbs, compression, etc., that you are running. But it'll still rip.
