  1. Going smaller on the back sprocket will make launching in 2nd harder. Stock gearing is 14/41, but a 13/41 would make launching in 2nd gear much easier, but it will also make all of the gears shorter, and decrease your top speed.
  2. Pull the stator cover, and check the pick-up gap on both points. It should be .018-.020.
  3. You won't get it running 100% right until you get the right pilots in it. When you go with a richer pilot, it will make a difference all the way through the RPM range. The pilots flow fuel from the second you start it, until you kill it. I would just wait until you get the right pilots, so you aren't jetting it several times.

  5. I guess this point was missed by the OP completely. Put larger pilots in, and adjust carbs accordingly.
  6. The 18" tires are killing your top speed. Stock rear tire size is 20".
  7. 1 Large T-Shirt, and payment has been sent already.
  8. You are at the #1 Banshee site on the internet, so if Duncan was worth a shit, don't you think they would be one of the site sponsor's? There are several good Banshee shops, but there are many more bad Banshee shops. Most of the people on this site know what they want, and then start calling builders to get their ideas on it, along with a cost. I've dealt with FAST, and have nothing bad to say about them, not to mention the fact that Jeff's customer service is top notch. Redline is another one that I've heard good things about. If in doubt, go to the sponsor page, and start making phone calls.

  10. No! An air leak will only affect the one side if it's a reed gasket, base gasket, or crank seal on the one side. Even though it's a twin cylinder, the bottom end is sealed between the sides, so an air leak on one side won't affect the other side, unless there is a leak between the two case halves.
  11. Sounds like it's lean on the right side, and is an air leak as was stated before.
  12. Main jets are too big. Cold temps means bigger, or richer jets, and warm temps means smaller, or leaner jets.
  13. Buy new plug boots, and install them. They are cheap, and easy to replace.
  14. Plug boots are cheap, and many times electrical stuff that's going bad won't show as being bad, until that part starts to get some heat in it. You keep asking for ideas, but when people tell you to do something, you say that the parts are good. You've got to listen to these guys, if you want to get it running right again.
  15. Bad spark plug boot, check pick-up gap on the flywheel, besides the other stuff that has been mentioned.
  16. http://farmandsandtoys.com/ocart2/ATVs/yamaha/banshee/serval-cub-super.html?filter=48 That one is cheaper, and from a sponsor, plus the customer service is great.
  17. Go up in jet size when it gets colder, not down in jet size. Cold air is denser than hot air, so it requires MORE fuel, not less.
  18. If you really want to clean your carbs, get some of this, and remove all plastic, and rubber items from them. Soak them, blow out all passages, replace missing, and/or worn parts, then reassemble. Using household cleaners on carbs isn't a good idea, because they aren't intended to be used on stuff like that. http://www.autozone.com/fuel-and-engine-cleaners-additives/carburetor-cleaner/berryman-chem-dip-carburetor-and-parts-cleaner/139313_0_0/
  19. Do a leakdown test before tearing it apart again, and then do another leakdown test on it once it's back together. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/110585-leakdown-tester/

  21. They have a number on them somewhere, but those numbers are really small. I'd remove them from the carbs, and let them soak submerged in some carb cleaner for a while. Use a magnifying glass to find the numbers, if you need to.
