  1. Your hard cold start is because it's too lean. Either turn the air mixture screws in some, or go bigger on the pilot.
  2. After adjusting the air mixture screws, you should let it run for 20-30 seconds, and then see if it helps any. It sounds like it's lean, or it has an air leak somewhere.
  3. Has anyone adjusted the air mixture screws since it's gotten cooler? If not, try turning them in 1/4-1/2 turn, and see if that helps any.
  4. Here's a good set of hangers from site sponsor FAST Racing. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=300
  5. You have one of three problems. Either the pilot jets are plugged, are too small, or the air mixture screws are too far open. Air mixture screws should be opened about 1.5 turns.
  6. Almost everyone on here that's run Ricky Stator stuff, has had many problems with them. Try the search function on Ricky Stator, and you'll find most people say that they are a heaping pile o' shit.
  7. With most of the chain sliders, you have to remove the swing arm to install them, however, there is one that you can install, with the swinger on the quad. I can't remember who makes it though. Check with FAST Racing. He's a site sponsor, and can answer your questions. I don't have a picture, as I don't run one. I have a different setup.
  8. It's called a chain slider. There's one pictured here, and you'd probably be better off checking with one of the site sponsor's, as they all should have them in stock. http://www.kdcycle.com/partsdatabase.html?prod_id=1003
  9. Check the gap between the flywheel, and the pick-up coil. A match book works to set it.
  10. Is the TORS still hooked up? If it is, unhook it, and throw it in the trash.
  11. I guess I missed that one, but I did get the memo that said loud=douche bag.
  12. WTH? Why do people want loud pipes? Loud pipes don't mean it's fast. If you really want it loud, have a buddy run the throttle, while you place your ear right next to the end of the silencer.
  13. Check the bearings in the axle carrier. Check the sprockets for missing teeth, and make sure your chain is adjusted properly, so it isn't jumping the teeth on the sprockets.
  14. Click here for FAST Racing. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/index.asp
  15. I'd say drop down to 280's. One jet size won't affect it much, when you're that rich.

  17. The 95s, and 96s are the two years with the oddball CDI plug.
  18. I've ran Klotz R-50 for years, and I've never had a single problem with it, and it smells great to boot. You're going to get a lot of different opinions on this, so it's up to you in the end.
  19. If the TORS box is still hooked up, unplug it, and give it a heave into the local trash can. It's underneath the left side of the gas tank.
  20. We need more info, such as mods, elevation, and temperature. It's lean, and that's why it's hard to start. How many turns open are the air mixture screws?
  21. There's more to drag racing, than just all out HP. A lot of it is in the bike setup. Besides, this guy is wanting more of an all around pipe, and not just a drag only pipe, so the CPIs, or T5s would work much better, than the Shearers. Talk to a few of the builders, and find out for yourself, if you don't agree.
  22. The CPIs sound like they would suit you better than the Shearers. Shearers are pretty much a top end pipe, and suited more for dragging only.
  23. Dropping one tooth on the counter shaft sprocket will take away some of your chain adjustment.
  24. Don't run the out of frames. With the types of riding that you do, you will be breaking the pipes all the time. Out of frames are pretty much drag only pipes, and not for dunes, and trails.
