  1. I'm running the same carbs, on a stock stroke 4 mil, with CPI's, porting, and pods. I'm running a 300 main, and I can't remember what size pilot. I think the 34's are going to be too much carb for your setup. Try some 28mm, or 30mm carbs.
  2. There are no gaskets, or seals for the studs. Are you sure that your drain plug isn't leaking, and running oil onto the studs?
  3. Does anyone know a good place to buy these from, besides eGay? I tried checking with a few of the site sponsors, and FAST's site was down, and another one wouldn't load. Anyways, give me some ideas. Thanks.
  4. I've ran a dual stage foam before, and it didn't flow as much air, was a messy bitch to clean, and re-oil. When I had my airbox, and changed from the foam, to a K&N, I had to go up 3 sizes on the main, and the filter was all I changed. I'm sure I'll get some arguments, but good luck disproving the fact that I've ran K&N's for 14 years, with no dirt, dust, or sand in the carbs, or motor.
  5. I'd say a +4 would be best for you. Hell, I'm running a +4 with a stock cylinder stroker motor, and it's fine, even in the sand with, 10 paddle haulers.
  6. It's time for a billet impeller, and you should replace the bearing, and seal while you're in there. One of the site sponsors will have everything you need to do it, and don't forget a new clutch cover gasket.
  7. Leave the pilot at a 27.5, and richen up the main to a 340, or 350, and then check your plugs. You want to start rich, and work your way down, instead of starting too lean, and risking blowing it up.
  8. To me, a K&N with a clean outer wear is bullet proof, as long as you keep up the maintenance, and make sure the clamp is tight.
  9. That's funny, because I've ran nothing but K&N filters for 14 years, and I've never had a single problem with them, or the motor, because of them. I think it boils down to personal preference, is all.
  10. No, that's the float needle, that shuts off the gas flowing into the carbs, when the bowl gets full. The pilot jet is in a tube, right next to the main jet, and you'll need a small screwdriver to take it out. You need to buy a Clymer's manual really badly. It's the best thing for anyone with a Banshee.
  11. Yes, pull the carbs off one at a time, take the main jet, and pilot jet out, and clean them with aerosol carb cleaner, then clean out the passages the same way, before putting them back together, and installing them.
  12. GrMeyer, you posts are very hard to read, because it's in black, and a lot of people on here use the dark background.
  13. Hands down, a good set of pipes, and silencers, which will lead to you having to rejet the carbs.
  14. Try the 310's. Most people run 320's, but your elevation is higher, so you might be right on, or a bit rich.
  15. At sea level, you should be running 280, or 290 mains, so you should put some bigger mains in. The 27.5 pilots should be fine. You shouldn't be messing with the needles, until you get the mains dialed in. Put the clip in the middle, and richen up your mains, then see what it runs like. When I used to run FMF's, the pipes by themselves, needed 260 mains, and that was before putting on a better air filter.
  16. They sound like Mikuni's, with the sizes of the mains he has tried.
  17. Fire it up, take it for a spin, and pull the chokes out, to see if it gets better, or worse. If' it's worse, then you're rich, and if it's better, you're lean.
  18. I just ordered the Dynatek coil last Friday. I comes with the wires, boots, and a mounting bracket, plus it's $40-$50 cheaper than the Nology, with everything. Your problem could still be the stator, as it seems as though nobody likes anything with the Ricky Stator name on it. Nothing but trouble.
  19. Get a good coil then. Such as a Nology, or Dynatek.
  20. That's good. You may have to re-adjust the air mixture screws a bit.
  21. You need some 27.5 pilot jets. This is pretty much a requirement, when installing after market exhausts.
  22. Contact one of the site sponsors for the jets, and replace those intakes, before you have to do a top end rebuild.
  23. I've got a 4mil stock cylinder.
