  1. Well, the arm does not move up and down.. So.... I am totally off on this one... if he lost all tension and that was that then I would say OK probably the internal adjuster came out. But that as he was limping it back to camp that all tension came back and it started working fine only to have it crap out again... thats messing with my mind.
  2. I am helping a buddy with my old banshee that I traded him... Anyways he is saying that when he was riding it the other day all of a sudden there was no tension on the clutch lever what soever and that he could move the clutch actuator arm with his fingers with no resistance.... Ok my first thought it the adjustment screw broke loose, but then he tells me he is able to get the bike moving and then 5min later it starts working again and then about 5 min after that the tension goes away.... I have not yet seen the bike but my only thought would be that the little clamp that holds the actuator arm down in the case came off and the arm is able to move up and down.... Any other ideas? I would definitely think it to be an internal issue but what has me thrown for a loop is that it is intermittent. He will be looking at the bike later tonight just wanted to see what everyone else thought.. Strange.
  3. I will think about it. Do you have any pictures? I am really looking for a YZ250 (not the F), CR250R or CRF450 though.
  4. Price reduced to $2900 can't go lower or Trade for a YZ250, CR250, CRF450.
  5. Ok here is the only picture I have on me right now of the motor (at work right now). This was taken 3 months ago after a full rebuild. It literally has 1 hour on it. PM me with serious offers on the motor. If I get enough interest I will part out the rest of the bike. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/IBtzo...feat=directlink
  6. Here are some quick shots. If I can get some interest in the motor I will break the bike down and post pics of everything. Just dont want to tear into it quite yet if there is no interest. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/sld8j...feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/K6qs8...feat=directlink http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/tPwmW...feat=directlink
  7. Any interested in me parting this out? I'd rather sell it whole but if there is interest I may part it.
  8. 2001 Yamaha Banshee Duner Green Sticker. 3500 OBO. Willing to trade for Dirtbike. Bike was purchased brand new from the dealer in 2004 (even though its a 2001, dealer had this puppy hiding in storage). Motor: Passion Racing 12-Port Long Rod Stroker CoolHead Billet Intakes V-Force3 Reeds 35mm PWK Carbs with K&N Pod Filters High HP Clutch Pancake Bearing Shearer Inframe Drag Pipes Billet Impeller Body: Tag T2 Handbars ASR Clutch Lever Pingel Dual Output Fuel Valve Steel Braided Throttle Cable Trail Tech Lights Casesaver Coolant Temp Gauge. NOTE: Subframe is bent due to the bike being rolled once. Everything works perfect just looks a little funny See ad for pics: http://sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/mcy/1061104098.html
  9. How old is the gas? Do you still have TORS intalled? Also, the gas leaking would be due to a stuck float bowl. Take the butt and of a screwdriver and tap the bottom of both carbs (no need to take them off the bike). That should fix the leaking.
  10. Well.. pulled the reeds out.. everything looked fine... except..... on the right side there was a good sized flake of yamabond sitting on top of one of the petals... cleaned the reeds put it back together.. what do you know.. its smoking a bit now out of the right side. So... could the yamabond have weighed down the reed enough that at idle it couldnt open but allow it to open at 1/2-WOT? Not sure how it was sitting on there not being sucked into the motor.. didnt take much to pull it off.
  11. Right side plug is wet if I pull it after idle.
  12. These are not stock carbs.. these are PWK's.. L/R side doesnt matter.. no choke tube either.
  13. Checked the reeds... While looking down the intakes with the carbs off, the right side (one not smoking) seemed to burp back fuel (very small amount) when moving the kick starter by hand.. Pulled the intakes, on the right side some of the petals had small (grain of sand) sized pieces of metal under them from a previous blow out so they were unable to close all the way.. maybe. Think this could have been it? I havent started it yet.
  14. Could this be a reed issue or anything? Like I said I swapped left & right carbs and that didnt help.. so i dont think it has anything to do with that.. adjusted the carb tops.. so they are in sync really dont know what else to do besides start tearing the motor apart.
