  2. What's your elevation? By me 106 is low. And also when I blew out my reeds the bike would idle and it would cut out when I gave it gas. It would kick back in if I backed off the throttle or at a easy coast. I looked and my reed was shattered to pieces when i had a huge back fire.
  3. Not unless its a super light scuff mark. It's right into the plastic, is not like sanding the clear and buffing it out but if some one has done it, then input will be better. I'm just assuming from my experience.
  4. I was told to just ride the damn thing. I did add a little extra 2 stroke mix to the gas just for peace of mind. But the guy that ported my cylinders said ride it like you stole it from day one.

  10. You'll be okay. With my stock head I've guessed where 20 was at buy hand on all of them.

  12. YOU SHOULD HOPE! but if your burning antifreeze you should be able to smell that when the bike is running. Pull the plug you should be able to tell if theres been A/F in there.
  13. do a leak down. take the rad cap off, if you got bubbles then you obviously have a leak. if you cant hold any air, then you obviously have a leak.
  14. dont jump to conclusions because you have a little puff of smoke out the exhaust. maybe the carbs arent synced perfectly, maybe the exhaust needs to be repacked. check the basics before you rip tare and pull the motor because of an off adjustment or somethiing little. take it slow,
  15. I blew up the pedals on my 2's so no cages for the 2's. And I need everything for the 3's.

  17. It's all preference. I went with HJR. He has the best turn around time. Send him your jugs and he'll bore them, and send you a fresh top end kit. Might as well have him port them for you to. Also why would you have to check it? He wouldn't be a site sponsor and own a business doing this if he bored stuff out of spec and built bad engines.
  18. You can buy one there cheap. But you can do it your self ( recommended on a budget build) just make the points nice and round. Bike will shift smooth, but i heard you do have to leave one point on. Look up pics, is super easy to do.
  19. for riding with my kid on his banshee(smoking him on his, which I built last year for him) and the occassional drag racing possibly at the dunes to riding hard out in my trails in the woods? I dont ride through mud or water, so I guess i only ride when its nice outside. Isn't that what you want to do? A lock up is not needed. A ported 4 mil with a HD clutch is more then enough.
  20. Compression is relative to elevation. But do a leak down regardless.
