  1. That's exactly how my bike was when my reeds blew apart on me. My bike back fired and took them out. It would idle okay, but anything after that was just a bog. Or dead. The only way I could start it was pop start it too. Won't hurt to check sounds you'll have the carbs off. And also are the pistons in the right way? The windows face you when you pull the reeds?
  2. That's the route may go if I can't get a good deal on the pedals.
  3. It doesn't matter what gear. When I first took one of these apart I actually played with the shifter to see how it worked. I would spin the drum and watch the forks follow the channels. Really simple design actually. But it'll give you a good understanding as to what's going on in your motor.
  4. My first set was kick ass. A melted wire and a backfire took them out. I don't know what it was this time.
  5. This is the second set that blew up on me. I read that ktm or husquvarna got a bad batch and they were losing there's in hours. I had mine about a month. Any one else have a problem??
  6. Electrical problems are the number one on my list. A CDI that is on its way out so is intermittent, a bad ground. I hate chasing stuff like that.
  7. Like we say in the shop, tits or tires. Either kind is gonna take your money.
  8. That happened when I burned up the harness on the stringers.
  9. Uh oh. Grab a magnet, see if you can get them out.
  10. I see them advertise in the AMA supercross races. There coils go for a shit load of money.
  11. When you pull you actually disengage the clutch, but I got the same clutch and I used 3 and 3. I like it. But make sure your cable isn't stretched. And see if the rod is mushroomed from the ball.
  12. Oh, well did you buy them brand new with rivots in them? And even if you did you can just buy the nets and put in your own rivots.
  13. I almost got that grill. My girlfriend got it for me for Christmas. She wasn't sure how it would look cut in half by the shroud but now that I see it, it looks good. I got a few JDS parts. Top quality stuff. And the mx/ hardcore port is sick. Kevin does awesome work to. Your bike is gonna be allot like mine.
  14. not true. My boost bottle added weight to the aluminum pail to get me more money at the scrap yard. But 2 into 1 carbs are good for bottom end. They won't get you the same up top as 2 but if you don't need that top end then a single is fine.
  15. Good idea, until you get pulled over and you have to show registration and insurance. The cop will know that's not a Yamaha zuma.
  16. NOOOO don't order from him. You will get sticks tied together with shoe laces for nerf bars. Then he'll say its not his problem. Fuck Minkia38.
  17. Your garage. You don't want to pay some one to fix your bike. These bikes are easy. You came to the best website with some really smart people that can diag your bike with out being there. Ask the right questions, you'll have it figured out in no time.
  18. You can expect awesomeness. No problems. Just keep up with the maintenance. If it is 100 percent stock, ditch the tors, and the parking brakes.
  19. I did 75 for mine because it was bone stock no true or welded.
  20. I don't have the boysen, just the vf but I think its basically a venturi effect and acts as an accelerator. Just guessing tho
  21. Loosen all the bolts and see if you can get them to slide up more.
