Yeah happend to me. The 2 halves are shot. They are to loose and the pedals crack from all the vibration. Maybe you can get lucky and tighten the halves down and loctite them so they don't loosen up, but they actually wear away an they basically go bad. I sent mine back to moto tassanari and the replaced everything or me except for the outer cages. Now when I called they said they will see what they can do because they were in the process of releasing the vf4.

I would. The heat isn't dissipated thorough the head. Its not an area of heat transfer like the radiator. Now if it was a blaster with a air cooled motor then I'd look into it a lot more. But these bikes I wouldn't be concerned.
