  1. Well it really sucks that the motor is apart. I would have said to do a leak down to eliminate an air leak. Could be an air leak or a fuel starve issue. You said it's freezing there now. Did you jet for the cold? I wouldn't reuse the crank as is. I'd send it out and get it checked and new bearings put on. It really can be a list of things that did this tho. But with the motor apart it is harder to tell
  2. Leaned out. I'm on my phone and can't get a good big pic, but it looks like it just ran lean. The crank is blueing from the lack of lube.
  3. dont let these guys get you down, the only time to change rings is when you bore. Your totally right. I think your an awesome mechanic. I don't care what anyone else says about you. You seem like you have all you ducks in a row.
  4. with every tap and coil you'll ever need! You can find a quick fix kit for like 10 bucks. Comes with the tap and like 3 inserts and the insert tool.
  5. Yeah don't worry you don't have to take responsibility. Totally the bikes fault. No negligence on your part.
  6. I would think that sand would make it worse. Imagine if a whole lot of sand impacted between the belt and gear. That belt will spin, the wheels won't. You'll rip the teeth on the belt off. Wanna know how I know this? Seen it done on my fathers bike with water. I would think the sand will do it faster and more aggressively
  7. Get a modded trans in there. Pancake bearing, port match cases, billet impeller and gear by mull, billet basket, fast clutch. I don't know what you have already but my main one is a cut trans. My 4 mil stock cylinder has a hard time shifting. I've gone though 3 stock transmissions and all the same. Get it cut
  8. Make sure to have the plugs out when you check for spark as well
  9. I really want to make this trip this time
  10. There a million times better then my sand geckos, and when you get the deal that I got on the hipers with the sandstars mounted, you jump on them
  11. That's for you to determine. Pull the cover, throw the bike in gear and see how far the gap is on either side from the shift claw to the star. Should be the same top to bottom
  12. Incorrect. Depends on compression. I'm assuming the off the shelf domes so there's no special design. But altitude affects compression, so if you live up on the mountains you may be fine with 18cc domes. But at sea level I know you'll be way to high for pump
  13. I don't like my sand stars. I feel like they stop pulling up top.
  14. Also on eBay I think matoon sells gaskets 3 for 20
  15. I spray carb cleaner, brake clean, spray paint, nail glue on the bar and blast the air like stated. From the bmx days is where I learned the tricks. But on the shee I'll still shoot a safety' wire or 2 across the grip. Throttle grip sent me into a tree
  16. I had a Amex gift card and put 50 in my truck, I use the card to buy a drink and it was declined. I call the number, they said the station will hold 75 till it clears. Not all credit transactions are immediate. So you can run the card out of money but still use it for a day or two till all the transactions go through. I don't really know what the fuck he was saying. Something like if you fill up its a undetermined amount so they stop it at 75 to back against funds or some shit. I think I was talking to some guy in Pakistan anyway, so I didn't catch much of what he was saying anyways
