Because I like to try things. Any asshole can bolt on a part. It's my girlfriends bike so really it's my test bike. I already have a dual pingle on my bike, but if this is a cheap easy and just as effective alternative, I'm all for it.
I just recently saw a pic on here of a tank with a oem petcock mounted on the other side. Essentially a dual pingle. I just want to know if anyone has done it, have pics, recommendations on what they should/ shouldn't have done. Seems like an easy enough task. Also seems effective as well. So my girlfriends bike is my test bike and I'm interested and want to do it.
I'd rather hit it with something to get to bare metal. Better to have a known good connection.
The vent I route out the back with about a 3 inch hose. I blocked off the clutch cover.
Nope. 12 years on a twist is a shit load of seat time and experience. I wanna know what made him go to thumb and stay with that.
After that amount, I figured some one would be pretty set in there way.
I've personally seen very few cylinders with carbon built up in the port. I see it more in the exhaust. Have to be running pretty lean, or just pumping constant heat out to really build up carbon. The unburnt mixture is a nice barrier on the port. We don't have power valves that change flow and direct heat and mixture. It's a constant at all times.
I like the single sided way better. The bling star one gets packed with shit and eats up chains and sprockets. The single sided stays way cleaner. I like the 2 piece design idea tho.
its pussies like you that get mad. You'd rather wait for people to tell you how to fix it then do it yourself. Now moving forward and trying to help. You unplugged the tors, removed the parking brake, and made sure everything is unplugged. Di you jump the harness? Or twist the wires together? Did you test the stator? Ohm the caps? Test the coil? Swap with a non good banshee? Are you runnin the right plugs?
Coming from a guy that can't figure out how to jump wires, you don't think you need a manual?? Your a lost cause at this point. I can't help you if you don't want to help yourself.
Yeah, I had a problem like this. Used shitty jumper that the wire was fucked, cut the wires, twist them together. If you want to run the key switch, I had good luck bending a nail and jamming it between the two terminals
